Hotel La Lorraine

This was the one of the worst hotels I have stayed at in Canada, over the last 40 years; * the tile in the bathroom was original from when it was built in the 50's * the TV was at least 30 yrs old {tube style }. * the room had a bad mold smell * the sheets did not appear to have been changed, and * the pictures on the internet were not like the room we were given. however, after complaining to the desk clerk,we were assigned another room that still only rated a single star,again not what was portrayed on their web site

Sort of expensive place to stay but provides Internet, a pool, has a bar

Totally disappointed! The room was dark and dirty. The table tops could see the wipe smears. Completely noisy. We had to pack up after a party to find another hotel at 2am. So inconvenient. The staff was was non responsive. Camping would have been a five star compared to this dive.

Couldn't connect to wifi and no one at reception when I left at 530 am. Otherwise all was good.

Our travel took 4 hours to reach Hotel La Lorraine. We went to the reception desk to receive our keys for the room we had called to reserve previously. The reception did not have any record of this and gave us keys to a different room. When we entered the room it was dirty still from the previous tenant o.0... they apologized and gave us a different room. Which was nothing special, but it was no Comfort Inn, you get what you pay for. Now I am an understanding and forgiving person.... which brings me to the next part of our experience. When we decided to revisit Lachute, we chose Hotel La Lorraine again, not that there is much to choose from. We pulled in at 10pm, exhausted we had been up since 4am that morning. When we went to the reception they, again, had no reservation.... only 1 room left.... non smoking (we had reserved smoking)... ok.... that's alright... we can smoke outside... we JUST need a bed to sleep in for 4 hours..... after some attitude from the desk attendant we get the key. We enter the room.... you guessed it..... dirty from previous tenants smelling like a cheap date.... Reception took no responsibility in actually fixing this apparently frequent mishap. Utterly worst hotel/motel I have ever seen or heard of. Dirty, rude, unresponsible. We drove back EAST 10 mins to Hawkesbury and stayed at the Comfort Inn for only $50 more...... pool, clean room, beautiful. Like I said.... I guess you really do get what you pay for.
