Hotel Bedford

I was initially hesitant after reading some of the reviews, but I’m really glad I chose to stay here. It’s an excellent hotel for the price and offers great value for money. I was staying for work and needed to extend my stay while I was away from the hotel, and instead of asking me to check out and rebook, they trusted me and allowed me to settle the payment when I returned. Overall, the hotel was clean, quiet, and well worth it.

Horrible experience, the owner Mo is the most disrespectful towards women, he yelled at my mom, sister and I as we tried to check in. We made a reservation over the phone with a set price of $135, when we arrived the girl at reception said the cost was actually $478 after not agreeing with the new price, Mo the owner came from the back yelling at us and said cancel the reservation, he did not even intend to give us a fair solution or listen to us at all. Do not come to this hotel, we had a horrible experience. The staff are rude, the hotel is dirty.

Located in the heart of the old town Goderich square, it’s one of few remaining original buildings remaining with original charm and character. The original exterior rooms are the place to be, while the interior rooms are smaller and cozier. The rooms are dated but the Ac was cold, the tv was new with lots of choice and the mattress was very comfortable. The price is anppropriate and very good value, I would recommend for people who can appreciate historic charm and small town convienence. There is currently construction around the square but they made everything accessible .

Stayed there in room 218 over the Easter Weekend. The bathroom sink was very low pressure water, and the sink hot tap never got beyond luke warm at best.nWhen I arrived on the Friday afternoon, around 8 pm I went to get a pop/Ice from the machines on the second floor and the pop machine was empty. I informed staff and was told it would be filled.nSat night, around 10pm, the pop machine on my floor was still empty. Sunday, still empty.nThis hotel does have free Wi-Fi, but it is very slow and many of the pages i needed could not load due to the slowness.nOver-all my room itself was comfortable.

While I am accepting of well taken care of older hotels this one is pretty awful. Heavy stench of fried chicken throughout the stairwell and upper hallways the entire time. Room didn't have a cord plugging the TV into the cable box, blood stain on inner shower curtain and another guest literally walked into our room with their key card. Continental breakfast was about as sparse as you could imagine. Wouldn't step foot back in this place.
