The barbecue from this stall, served by a super lovely Filipina lady, is extraordinary and admittedly, superior to how my Filipino parents make it who are both excellent cooks. The prices are fair considering the stall is in a very touristy spot. Outstanding, unique flavours, mouthwatering aromas and fantastic examples of Filipino barbecue and hospitality. Truly worth it! Great to have while enjoying the beautiful city of Victoria in Vancouver island.
My first time exploring Victoria & fortunately found this Food Cart along one of the main attractions in the island. Such a great tasting well prepared foods that’s worth every penny we paid. My wife jokingly asked if she could have the secret to such amazing food and she got a wink of an eye from the gentleman who helped us. Hope they establish a branch here in Alberta. Will always crave for their unique foods
Long wait despite there being only 2 customers in front of us. The cook should be more efficient / productive by taking multiple orders and cooking multiple food instead of just cooking 1 food at a time for context the customer in front of us ordered just a single hot dog, I’m sure there is space in that grill to cook more. Felt unacknowledged by the cook when a lady cut in front of us and asking him questions and ordering before us. When we got our food it was barely warm. Flavours for the skewer seem good but probably won’t order from there again
Very friendly owners, obviously busy with several carts on the go.. however they agreed to attend a two day youth sports event and did not show up until the event was almost over on both days! Serving local meats gains them two stars. If you see them around town could be worth trying them out but if your hosting an event relying on them to serve up a large crowd of hungry parents and teens I do not recommend.
First time trying their food, so we just ordered one pork intestine and one pork ears,if it was good then we will order more. Anyways, the person doing the bbq was rude, he was frowning while saying “that’s all their having?” And was also frowning the whole time. Not the best one in my opinion. I had better ones before. A bit pricey for the quality and quantity of food they served out. -to the owner, better hire people with inviting attitude and really wants to work on your store. - the location was the best part
Great food, tried all of the Filipino street food skewers and they were excellent. Nice to have some unique street foods available in the city, I hope others follow your lead.
Absolutely unreal. I'm always unsure about hotdog stands and the quality you actually get but I was hungry and it was nearby. The gentleman at the stand was super friendly and professional. The food was top notch! So many different hotdog combinations with Asian fusion. Highly recommend stopping by if you are in the area to try for yourself.
The owner was friendly and the food/bbq is top notch for street vendor food. The way they handle and prepare food is definitely up to the heath code. Fresh from the grill and it’s delish! I am glad I took my family here. Highly recommended! Vegetarian options: They have vegetarian hotdogs as well. Kid-friendliness: The way they interact with any age group is so welcoming.
Anroe and team are so courteous and friendly, it's always a pleasure to see them hustling, and their Filipino style hot dogs will make your mouth water! From one local business to another we encourage everyone to give their excellent food a try!
I came across this gem of a stall whilst touring around Victoria, and glad I was that I did! The Filipino lady who operates the stall is super-friendly, fun, and an all-round delight to engage with as you wait for your food. The food itself is simply delicious! You certainly get what you pay for. Worth every bite. Next time I'm back in Victoria, I'll certainly head back and try more from this great little Filipino stall!
