Horseshoe Island Camp

This was my second time here and this year much better. Last year I had a hard time adjusting to compete peace and quiet but this time around it was excellent, just what I needed. Switch off from the outside world. The Owners, Ian and his family were excellent and offered a lot of assistance when we had a little incident. Can't thank them enough. The cabins are in good condition for being old. Beds were comfy but hell of a squeaky. Going back again next year. Oh not forgetting there were plenty of fish and I did pretty well for a novice to lake fishing.

Very well maintained cottages. Water was perfect, fish were bitting all week. Ian and his team bent over backwards to ensure our group was happy. Cottages were equiped well with all the utensils and cookery you would need. Beds were comfortable and clean. We had a small issue with our fridge but Kylieapologies if this isn't the way it's spelt was extremely quick to respond and had us up and running within half an hour. We will most definitely be coming back. Thanks you Ian for such a great holiday!

Excellent experience overall. Spent an amazing week at this camp. The cottages were clean and well supplied. A family run business efficiently run by very helpful staff. The boats available to visitors are perfect for the lake and kept in super condition. Equiped with electric start motors,live Wells and electric sump pumps. Flat interiors make them a comfortable way to spend a day fishing. Set in an interesting and vast body of water, great fishing. Highly recommended.

This was my first time at Horseshoe Island Camp and I had an amazing experience that exceeded all my expectations. The island is well maintained, the cabins and very comfy and the views are breathtaking. Thank you Ian, Linda and Kylie for the wonderful experience.

Last year was our first year staying here. The fishing was incredible and the owners are fantastic. If you are looking for a 3 day get away with the boys or a week long family fishing vacation, look no further. The best part is they give you a map of where the fish are and even tell you what methods you want to use to put fish in the boat.

My family has been going to Horseshoe Island for 20yrs and have never been disappointed. Fabulous scenery, fantastic walleye, pike and bass fishing, great blueberry picking and wonderful hosts Ian, Kylie and Linda are friendly and courteous and will happily address any concern. Feels like home to us now. It's absolutely the highlight of our year! Highly recommend this camp for a stellar family vacation!

We've been to this camp for 3 years in a row now and it is fantastic. Ian and team run a tight ship - clean cottages, comfortable and fully functional boats for rent, and great fishing Walleye, Bass, and Pike. Looking forward to returning next year.

Absolutely the best place you can vacation in Northern Ontario. Family owned and operated business. This family makes you feel like you are part of theirs. We were catered to our every waking need. We are honoured that they are allowing us the privilege of joining them next year for another week of blissful serenity. Just what the Dr ordered. Thank you!

Absolutely 100% without a doubt the best place I've ever been for a trip up north. A land scape that money simply cannot buy. Absolutely breath taking scenery. Very well maintained cabins and it is managed by some of the best people I have ever meet. Please do yourself a favour and come here. Be aware there is no electricity but this is exactly the kind of thing you come to escape. Also be aware to respect the environment if you come. One of the last untouched places in the great north, lets keep it that way!!

Excellent fishing, clean cabins, incredible host, beautiful scenery, relaxing environment. Worth every penny and then some. Thnx Ian and Kylie. Every outdoor lover should make this an yearly Trip. A must on the bucket list
