The building is small and cozy with unique accents in the decor like the windmill ceiling fan. All the food we tried was very good, the pizza had the perfect sauce to toppings ratio and the crust was cooked to perfection with a hint of beer hoops in it. I also highly recommend their jalapeno poppers they put a new and tasty spin on them.
Awesome place to enjoy some food and brew! Almost all of the beers that I tasted were very enjoyable, the fried pickles are pretty damn good too. Great prices, friendly staff, and a nice atmosphere. Can't wait to come back during my next visit to Alpena!
Great place to drink a good beer. The place is very beautiful and you have the option of sitting at the counter couple or at the table with friends. There are a lot of good quality beers to choose from. The service is fast and everyone is very friendly and polite.
Enjoyed outdoor seating even though it’s next to parking lot. The outdoor seating area is nicely enclosed. The baked zachos were awesome - had high tide platform. Not as filling as a whole pizza, but a pizza looked delicious too on other tables. The beers were also interesting. I mostly like ciders but their “cream brew la” was very good. My wife enjoyed her flights. Overall a great experience.
Really solid food. Good sandwiches. Beer is sub par. Needs some fine tuning. The ipa tasted devoid of much flavor at all as well as it being nearly clear, not hazy as indicated. The hoppiest beer they claimed was the ambered, it was hoppy but barely. If the beer improves then this could easily be a 5 star location. The service was very good overall.
A fun little slice of Alpena's expanding craft beer scene. Friendly staff and a neat bar with good food and a wide selection of beer provide for an overall fine experience.
Great job all involved! Waitstaff well trained and knowledgeable about beers and food. Waitress Brooke, was awesome with her knowledge of all. This is a place I would highly recommend. Hawaiian pizza is awesome! Margarita Gose is something that if you like margaritas, it is to kill for!!!! I’m on board to return!!!
What a great place! We happened upon here the day after their grand opening. Everything was operating very smoothly for a brand new business! No hiccups at all! Service was prompt and the food was wonderful! The beers were also great the main reason we stopped as we have been to many MI breweries! We are big IPA lovers and theirs were not hop forward but instead very smooth with a great variety of flavors. There wasn't a single thing we didnt like. We ordered the jalapeno poppers with raspberry jalapeno jam and the philly cheesesteak pizza for dinner. Wow!
Beers are good and the food and service is great. What is lacking is the decor and atmosphere. The interior is bland and really needs some jazzing up. It could be a great place with some more visual interest and brewery type of vibe. Too much bland gray on the walls. Make the wall behind the bar a chalk wall with a menu, hang a canoe or something from the ceiling. Look at brewery interiors on line for ideas. This would increase your business, because people go to a place for the atmosphere, as well as the food and drink.
Wow! Great beers, and a lot of them. Something for every taste! Great food and wonderful, friendly staff. The location has a great vibe with good background music. We even talked about moving to this town just for the brewery!
