First time here! Great vegan spot and they have soft serve vegan oat ice cream which sounds great. But I tried the Dragon Fruit Dream smoothie which was actually amazing and a green juice! I came back the next day and got the Green Tiger, the Blue Magic Delight, egg salad sandwich and lemon square! So many good things to try! Hours are actually 11am-5pm Mon-Fri, 12pm-5pm Saturday, and closed Sunday :
This has the best vegan soft serve I have had in my life. Normally, vegan soft serve is coconut based, however HooRaw’s is oat based and heavenly.
Friendly and cozy vibes, and it's great to have more places for vegans. I did find the prices quite high for many of the items though, so be prepared for that. And if my experience with the nanaimo bars are to go by, this is *not* a place for sweet tooths! The food had a homemade taste with little sugar, compared to most products around. I have no doubt it's healthier and I know some people who would love it, but it's not what I would expect from the nanaimo name.
Love this place! My favourite place for raw food! Specially the fermented veggies, absolutely amazing and filled with nutrition. Raw meals, juices, kombucha, everything in this store is amazing. Prices are phenomenally cheap for raw, vegan, locally sourced food! Best kale chips around! Desserts here! Seating area inside and out front. Hans is very knowledgeable, friendly and knows how to make good wholesome food! Catering and courses available. Recipes also available online.
Owner Hans along with other family and helpers get it done in this great little space. The Baghdad bowl was legendary and so satisfying
Just had the worst service there this morning. One lady working there. I was happy and excited to get my daughter something for breakfast. Our power went out. This person was so unbelievably rude! I asked to get a wrap. Her very rude reply telling me it’s over there. I’m like oh okay. No smile from her at all that’s fine, her tone was so rude. So I grab the wrap out of the fridge come back to the till she has a coffee cup in her hand. She over heard my daughter on the phone asking for coffee. She asks so you want a coffee? In a even more rude tone. I reply yes my daughter wanted 2 cream and 2 sugar. She rolls her eyes and says uh well we don’t have cream this is a vegan shop! I’m thinking now WOW this person has issues! Like I don’t know it’s vegan obviously cream could mean almond milk or close to it! I forgot to mention at first as well when I asked if they had mushrooms for a bowl she said they have nothing like that. Such a rude tone. I was thinking what?!? So you don’t have mushrooms you could add into a bowl?!? You don’t customize at all?!? Or you really don’t have any mushrooms?!? Okay then! What a gross person to be working with the public! I know there’s a few nice people that work there. She’s definitely not one of them! Yah so anyone that’s never been there hopefully you don’t get treated the same! I told her she was very rude and I left. Lose one customer you lose ten! How much do you really care about yr business? There’s no excuse to be treating customers in such rude way. Esp when yr customer is smiling, polite and friendly!
Absolutely love this place - best vegan egg salad wrap I've ever had. The recipes are really spot on, taste amazing. You can tell the owners love their food!! And vegan soft serve to boot!
What a Sunshine Coast / Sechelt gem! It's so great to see an all vegan/plant-based spot exactly where you would expect to see it most. A lovely selection of freshly made chocolates and mini pastries, freshly made wraps, bowls, and a wide variety of delish plantbased products that should satisfy any craving. Would love to see this business expand into more of a cafe/light eatery as well. Keep it up!
I do like this store but am pretty annoyed as I showed up at 2:00 on Sunday to find them closed, especially since I drove from Gibsons for this specific store. Hours online said they'd be open. What a bummer. *Edit: Thank you Hans for your gracious response and offer to deliver goods to me on a holiday weekend. Amazing. I realized that I made a mistake by saying Saturday first when in fact today is Sunday, however online it does still show you were going to be open, BUT NONETHELESS - I have changed my rating to 5/5 stars to reflect my sheer appreciation of your effort to do right by your customers. Bless.
super yummy and healthy! I love HooRaw, they have great vegan options, both savoury and sweet. Hans makes the most filling meals, they have fantastic smoothies and ice cream, along with raw chocolate and awesome nut butters!
