Story

Hooly Crab is a seafood boil. 'What is this?', you ask. Think of East meets West, a Southern tradition with Asian flavours. We visit our local markets each day to find the freshest ingredients. You choose your seafood, ingredients and flavours. Then, we mix, steam, and serve you one heavenly dish. It's messy, it's fun, and most important, it tastes damn good!

Great food with great flavour. Prepare to get messy!
Walked in and took almost 5 minutes to be noticed to be seated. After being seated we could tell that our server was new and not super knowledgeable as of yet.. There was no bartender for dinner service, so our server had to make our drinks. My Sex on the Beach tasted like mostly vodka, which half the glass stayed untouched. The food was good, but the service continued to lack. We watched the server and hostess flirt with each other more than they interacted with customers. Then when it came time to leave, it took about 10 minutes to get the bill. I had to ask twice for a to go container, to which he took my plate and said he'd pack it.. We were so unimpressed when we paid, that we left the cash and left.. Now after several hours, I realized that they never brought us my to go container before the bill.. So we left without food. While it wasn't that notable, I did want their wontons now.. Would suggest ordering take out, as the food is worth it but not your time.
Was a good experience, fun for something a little different with friends. A couple people mentioned different sized gloves, those with small hands were having issues. Food was tasty and arrived quickly. Not sure if I'd eat here often, but once in a while for the fun of it. We ordered all of the same sauce, but some with extra heat, didn't notice much of a change in heat.
The food here was soooooooooo good. Fresh and filling. We got the shrimp, steak, chicken and noodles. Everything was cooked perfectly, the food came out steaming hot and was so much fun to eat you eat with your hands. Yes they give you gloves. This place is a MUST TRY!!!! Our waitress was very spirited and fun. She was extremely helpful with questions and made the experience that much more fun. If you want a new dining experience with great food then make sure you try Hoolycrab!!!!
The seafood was great, really loved the house sauce. Their special fried rice was bomb. Fries super crispy. Contrary to what others said, the staff were really great when we were there. They were very friendly and attentive. Not a place I would go too often, but definitely worth checking out if you're a seafood fan!
I love this restaurant. If you want a unique dining experience, this is your place. Be prepared to get your hands dirty! My favourite is the shrimp, cauliflower and lotus with their signature sauce. If you try it once, you will crave it again!
Ordered the snow crab with their hooly sauce which was tasty. Left disappointed though that the meal comes with nothing else and everything is an up charge. Didn't mind the eating out of a bag but they don't give you any utensils unless you ask for them. It's different and the food tasted fine but I doubt we go back as the experience isn't worth the downside.
Such a fun way to enjoy a delicious meal! Excellent ingredients - served piping hot and enough different menu items that everyone can enjoy a meal. It is not cheap - but the value is very good. I have been twice and look forward to going again soon.
This place was great. Some reviews criticize the styrofoam plates and plastic cups, but it's a messy seafood dinner that is all about that "grab it with your hands " experience. This is the easiest way to go about it and I came for the food, not the silverware. Make sure you get the sausage in whatever you order as it just soaks up the spice and is delicious. The house sauce is the way to go. Only reason it's not 5 stars is it is a more premium price, but for a seafood lover it is worth it.
