Pretty good ramen spot. Very clean and staff is friendly. We had a few appies. We had the karaage, gyoza, takoyaki and tonkatsu. All were pretty good but, karaage was probably the best one. Karaage was super tender and crispy. Could be cut up to smaller pieces though. Also had the shoyu and light shoyu ramen bowls. Shoya had a nice deep broth with thin and perfectly cooked noddles. Chashu was fall apart tender. Marinated egg was pretty good too.
The flavor of my Ma Po Udon was pretty good. I added a Bamboo Shoots as a side topping. Karaage Deep Fried Chicken was excellent. I will come back for just those two items.
By far my favorite Ramen spot. Their service have greatly improved. The place is clean, especially the washroom and there are plenty of parking spots. My favorite is the classic Shoyu Ramen. The broth is so rich and I’m addicted my husband and I also love their takoyaki. Tonkatsu is much better paired with rice and their miso soup.
First time here. Kid friendly and clean! The soup was flavourful and the noodles had the right amount of chew. Chicken karaage was great! We will be back. Kid-friendliness: They provided kids bowl, cup and utensils. Parking: Ample free parking
Their shio tastes too ginger and not the usual ramen broth expected. Their Shoyu is much better. Avoid Shio. The Ebi Fry also feels stale. The miso soup that comes with the Ebi Fry was so salty, it was undrinkable.
I’m from Japan and I can tell you this ramen restaurant is just like ramen you eat in Japan. Most of ramen places in Canada don’t give you much soup for ramen but ramen in this place is filled with delicious soup. I’m impressed by how they make their own noodle in the restaurant!! Soup had a rich flavor and I loved it. My favorite is miso and tantan ramen best tantan in Canada
Well! I didn’t get to take the real food pictures but it was definitely an extra happiness experience eating here!!! Close to the cineplex and bowling The ramen, i think they did made their own noodles! Soooo yummy The pork cutlets! Oh it’s been awhile since i got tonkotsu set! Crunchy and yummy made me miss Japan The gyoza? Damn this is a very rare one! I can definitely say that this didn’t just came out of a frozen pack, very fresh very soft and the fried crisp skin very very very tasty And of course! If you see they got the imitation food sampler, you can tell they’re Japanese owned
The Ramen here is OK, noodles were the best part. Portion was quite large. The miso broth was a bit too sweet but overall not bad.
it has been over one and half year since we last enjoyed this authentic Japanese ramen restaurant. thank you for reopening and still kept the flavour exactly the way it was. Gochisosama
ReRe: So, now not only have they reopened but have a whole new addition to the Original menu, Filipino cuizine! They have amazing Pork/Chicken Adobo that is the better than Maxx's, Chashu pork garlic rice simple but complex flavors in every bite. Halo-halo, set up for 1 or shared is carefully prepared and shaved Ice was done very well.most other places of halo-halo have chunks in theirs. And so much more... Staff is always so friendly and hands down my favorite Ramen Spot in all BC. I can tell they really put a lot a love in their food. Please try their delicious Japanese/Filipino cuisine it really is top tier. Re: They are open again! Finally! So happy that Honjin Ramen came back! You won't be disappointed! Original: Best Ramen in BC hands down . Excellent staff, Menu is simple, Ramen was like nothing I've ever tasted, especially the miso Ramen. Rich n' creamy, marinated pork, perfect little seating for a nice date. Has been my go to place for over a year. Temporary closed at the moment , but will reopen!
