Writing this review not to earn a free fried dumplings . They deserve such a rating since it aligns with our taste bud. Every single dish is very tasty and flavourful inclusive the side dishes. Initially I was doubtful with the review until I tasted it. Service was great and not to mention their fried seafood pancake, pork bone soup and seafood tofu soup warm your heart for such a cold winter. Thanks for your meal
Pork bone stew is good, well balanced on spicy and flavour.nSeafood pancake, a bit disappointed. It’s not crispy enough, it’s more like a seafood omelette instead.nGood quality on various appetizers. Kimchi specially good.nStaff attentive and polite. Overall a nice dinner.

The highlight for me was the spicy cheese rice cake – just the right amount of heat, and the melted cheese added an extra layer of indulgence. This is definitely NOT a 4.9-star restaurant. They offer free fried dumplings in exchange for a 5-star review, which feels misleading.nnFood: The army stew, spicy rice cake, and fried rice were below average. Small dishes were not good as well. The only dish we enjoyed was the cold pork with cabbage.nnService: The service was disappointing. They didn’t refill our tea, and when we asked for extra cabbage leaves for the cold pork, they flatly said no. Considering cabbage is inexpensive and other Korean restaurants usually accommodate such requests, this was surprising and off-putting.nnMisled by their high Google reviews, but I won’t be returning.
Absolutely amazing! The army stew pot at Hongdae Korean Restaurant is hands down the best I’ve ever had. It’s packed with so many ingredients—perfectly cooked meats, flavorful dumplings, and a variety of toppings that make every bite satisfying and delicious. The broth is rich and savory, bringing all the components together beautifully. On top of that, the side dishes are a standout on their own! All five are fresh, flavorful, and complement the stew perfectly. A must-try spot for anyone craving authentic Korean comfort food. Can’t wait to come back!
