A big Thank You first to SHUBHANGI, and METI at front desk!nYour helpfulness, service, kindness and patience was very much appreciated. 5***** service from these 2 ladies.nnTo Jamil, thank you for your help, appreciated, I found the missing sentimental lipstick!nTo Patrick at the Tulip restaurant, thank you for great service and steak recommendations. Your cosmopolitan was really great too!nnHowever, I agree with the previous guest about the breakfast, somewhat disappointing. Also, I was not feeling well and hoped to bring my breakfast upstairs, and I was very surprised when the gentleman with dark rimmed glasses and grey suit advised me 'not very politely' that this was 'not permitted under any circumstance'.nnComing from a corporate training background, I recommend that gentleman's service manner be reevaluated?nI'm a senior person, stayed 2 nights, a little respectful consideration would go a long way.nnSomeone might want to remind him, these are well paying guests, and a smile, and politeness, should be easily delivered. We are not children and sternness is Not required.
This was our first visit to Ottawa and the hotel is in a good location to access all the city has to offer. All the main attractions were a pretty easy 15 to 20 minute walk away and we quite liked the quieter nature of the area we were staying. Room was really large with good a/c, a kitchen, fridge freezer etc. We had a very comfortable bed and spacious bathroom. There is a restaurant and bar downstairs and we did eat there on a couple of occasions and we thought it was good food at a reasonable price. Breakfast was very good quality with lots of choice although inevitably it could get a bit busy at peak times. Overall the hotel was very clean and tidy. Would definitely stay here again.nnRoom wasn't cleaned as often as we expected during our eight day stay and the bed linen was not changed at all but these are very minor quibbles and did not detract from our overall stay.
good size rooms, with access to kitchen facilities, which was really useful. We stayed in a large room for two adults and two children. Breakfast was included in our stay. Was pretty basic. Overall would recommend this place for a stopover, no frills, but decent enough facilities and service. The swimming pool was very deep.
It was a great way to really relax especially with kids! It was clean, friendly staff and the views from the 15th floor was absolutely beautiful! Enjoyed the fireworks display on Wednesdays and Saturdays right from my room!nSelf service too was great especially for laundry services!nLocation is also fantastic, it was literally a 10 - 15minutes walk from all you need from Downtown Ottawa.nWill definitely recommend to anyone looking to visit the Ottawa Downtown area!nWe loved it!
We stayed here last week and overall had a great stay! The room was clean, spacious and exceeded our expectations. Check-in was a breeze and we were surprised to learn we had been selected as the guest-of-the-day, and there was a treat and hand-written note waiting in our suite. The pool area was great though a little too hot for those not swimming and our kids had a blast. Parking was tight with our huge SUV rental but we managed unscathed.nnA few negatives: our room was next to the elevator and the noise was disruptive all night long. The only bathroom in the suite is within the bedroom, and when you turn the light on for the bathroom, it also turns a light on outside the bathroom in the bedroom. Makes no sense at all as it immediately wakes anyone who is trying to sleep.nnBreakfast was included with our stay and we ate there each morning. The line to get in was a bit surprising but tended to move quickly. The food was good enough with a wide selection of hot and cold fare. Our only problem was with the table service. You are meant to be served coffee/tea at the table by your designated server, but only one morning out of three did our server actually bring us coffee after we asked. Otherwise breakfast was a good experience!
