This place is great! It's the epitome of a diner/greasy spoon. It has a huge menu for both breakfast and lunch. The sandwich list is extensive and the breakfast options are unique. All of the food is created in the kitchen that's not very big but it pumps out the food in an efficient manner. Inside is very basic four booths , some tables and there's some outside seating as well. It's clean and well organized and the owner is friendly. Easy parking and very reasonable pricing. I had the Cuban sandwich and it was good, the meat was a little sparse. I took one half of the sandwich and loaded the insides onto the other half and it was quite a filling meal. We will definitely return and I'm looking forward to trying their Reuben sandwich.
Great place for a quick bite or a full on Dinner. Jasmine was very courteous and helpful. Food is very well served, tastes great. We will be back for sure. Kudos to the owner for having a great place with wonderful people. They made us feel like family, the good family, lol
Went in last Sunday with my husband around 12:30. Got a table and our drinks pretty quickly. Then we waited, and waited. Our menus were at the edge of the table signaling we were ready to order. Several more tables were seated including one that had at least 15 people, one with no shoes on. Other tables orders were taken, some by our server, who was wearing kelly green pants, some by the other young lady. When the huge tables order started to be taken by the other server, I decided we had waited long enough. We left money for our drinks, and left. I was really looking forward to the biscuits and gravy plate, the menu looks great, the prices for most of the stuff look great.
Food was deliciousssss. Prices are very fair. Portions are well-sized. Service was fast. Waitress was very nice. I got an omelette and asked for no cheese, it had cheese and requested a new one. No biggie! When I got the check I saw that I had been given a discount! Super cool that they did that even though it wasn't necessary. Will be returning : Vegetarian options: Veggie omelette
Home plate offers friendly service and good, reasonably priced fare in a non-descript strip mall. Don't let the places humble appearence fool you, we ordered a cheese burger, a chicken Philly and chicken strips. They all came out hot, well prepared and in reasonably generous portions. I admit I have a soft spot extra star for simple places that have a family-run appeal. This place is not fancy but it's good. A member of my party eats here regularly. I will return.
Stopped in for dinner. Cute, little place with lots of choices on the menu. I had the tri tip salad with a cilantro lime dressing and it was huge and very good! We'll have to stop back before we go home to Arizona!
Home plate is the best, hands down. I've been a customer for three years and they never disappoint. I've eaten almost everything on the menu and it's all solid. This includes the pizza, my personal favorite is the BBQ chicken.Food: 5/5
Just found this place by accident. We were going to have breakfast in Solvang, but the lines were extremely long and it was raining, so went on. This is no doubt the best breakfast place I have eaten at in the last year or so, maybe more. I love funky local places, not sterile chains, and this fits the bill. The prices are great, the service is excellent, and the food is outstanding.
Nice little out of the way home in the wall burger joint in Goleta. Great burgers! If good food is all you want, this place is it! If you ambiance with your burger, go elsewhere!Food: 5/5
BEST biscuits and gravy & pancakes in Santa Barbara /Goleta/Montecito that I’ve ever had. I’m from North Carolina and their biscuits & gravy reminded me of home. Pancakes were out of this world! First time at this restaurant & we will be back! Thanks Home Plate! Kid-friendliness: Family oriented spot Parking: Good parking
