Holiday Inn Express & Suites

This is a new hotel, very elegant with decorative decor. Very nice staff and very clean. The rooms are quite large with a beautiful view of the river . In addition, they have walkout patios where you can sit and enjoy the ambiance . The reason why I rated this establishment as a two is because their beds are very uncomfortable and stiff as a board. They do not offer any feather pillows. You go to a hotel to rest not to be uncomfortable. The breakfast buffet in the morning is quite eloquent however the food is not appealing to the palate or very tasty. This two can also be improved greatly. They truly need to mirror Hampton Inn or Hilton products which are far superior. I will no longer stay at a Holiday Inn and I recommend that you don't as well for the price and the quality of service that we received it's not worth it.

This HIE was beautiful. It was super clean and comfortable. The staff were all friendly and the free breakfast was yummy! We had a room with a view of the river and it was very relaxing.

This stay is a forced pause in my adventure, but it definitely is serving its purpose wonderfully. The river scenery outside between the cities of Rock Falls and Sterling is terrifically decadent & nice to take in. When I first came in I could smell the paint still drying & the bed clothes are all white. My adventure's pause has ended up being two days, so tomorrow I will wake up and dive into their continental breakfast which is really, really good.

I stayed here for about 3 1/2 weeks. Rooms are nice sized, the staff is very friendly and helpful, the service was great. Walls are thin so it can be loud at times but over all it's a great place to stay for a night or however long. Nothing to complain about here. :)

Hotel looks new with nice clean rooms and modern decor. Breakfast was good, and internet seemed fast. Would stay here again.
