Holiday Inn Express & Suites

I travel extensively for business and this Holiday Inn Express in Rock Falls is not only the nicest place to stay in the area, even around the Dixon area, but actually a treat to stay in. The surrounding area is being developed with art and walking paths. These walking paths merge with very wide sidewalks that will take you into Rock Falls and Sterling. Although the two cities have defunct industries, you can see the city's efforts to spruce up the places. There are several awesome places to eat and be entertained, which I will begin leaving reviews for. As far as the Holiday Inn, the only thing that was a negative was the fact that I saw employees using the parking spaces under the entrance awning, which forced customers to park in the rain. These employees would leave their cars there for their entire shift.

Wonderful stay for the last night of our extensive road trip. Located right on the river. Our rooms overlooked the river and from the private balcony you could hear the waves lapping on the shore. Clean, spacious, great breakfast and even snacks some nights and cheerful staff. Just lovely.

Well kept facility. Rooms are clean and well-maintained. Good power options. Rooms are a good size. Nice views of the river.

We stayed 3 nights and what a wonderful experience. The room was clean and I love the fact that they had Dove care products and not a cheap brand like other places. I have two gripesnn1. The walls are very thin, we had a family with children jumping and running back and forth above us, and we heard every step. Sure, we could have asked for help, but we raised four boys and understand, I am just acknowledging the reality.nn2. The room we had did not have any view, it overlooked the entrance to the building roof. We looked forward to seeing the river, so that sucked. I would recommend charging less for that room in the future, it isn't fair in my opinion.nnOverall I travel extensively and stay at a lot of hotels. When I do, I look for 3 big things:nn#1 - Cleanlinessn#2 - Servicen#3 - Internet connectionnnAll 3 were tremendous here and I highly recommend this hotel and will use them again when we visit the parents!

Loved the hotel, the room with a balcony on the riverside, hospitality staff, and full breakfast.nnWe had a nice walk along the river even though it was dark. The path was well lit, and we felt safe.nnIt's definitely worth the drive!
