As soon as you walk into the restaurant, you’re transported into a historic upscale eatery with European decor. It was established in 1851. The place feels charming and cozy. The menu has no veg options except the salads but the chef prepared veggie pasta for me and it was good. They have an extensive patio, a pub downstairs and also a terrace.
Beautiful place to eat! The atmosphere is so elegant and charming! The service was friendly and attentive! My friend and I had a Greek Salad and they happily accommodated me for my food allergies which was awesome! We also shared the fried calamari… delicious!! Very good coffee too! Great lunch at a great place!! A must go!!!
I had the most wonderful birthday dinner at this restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious - I especially loved the tuna tartareI had, which was perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. But what really made the experience unforgettable was the excellent service from the staff. They were so friendly and attentive, and made sure everything was perfect for my special day. To top it all off, they even surprised me with a beautiful birthday cake - I was truly touched by their thoughtfulness. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great food and exceptional service. Thank you for making my birthday so special!
This place is underrated and definitely deserves an overall 4.5+ rating. From bread to appy to main to desert, all the food items we tried at the restaurant were very on point in terms of taste, freshness, temperature and seasoning. The bread had a very crunchy exterior while the inside and soft and fluffy-this is an intricate balance not easy to achieve. The pineapple shrimp had a taste of fire but sweet and savory and very appetizing. The beef bourguignon was 5/5- while everything else met expectations the taste of this definitely exceeded my expectations. The sides it came with may have been a 3.5 in comparison in terms of flavorfulness but did pair fine with the rich taste of the beef. The baked mascorpone cheese cake was fine, what you would expect of a cheesecake and goes well with coffee. The fruits on the cheesecake was very fresh like other ingredients they have used throughout. Wait staff were pleasant and service was great and on par with most fine dining restaurants. The restaurant was classic and homey at the same time. It has a comfortable and welcoming vibe with sophistication in the details. I would look forward to come back to try more dishes next time.
What an exceptional experience in a spectacular setting! Walked into this magnificent restaurant for the first time with my friend, not knowing what to expect. We were both captivated and in awe with the elegant atmosphere, cleanliness and beautiful historic surroundings. We enjoyed a terrific meal, excellent wine, all accompanied by caring and professional service. Big thank you to the servers and hosts who made us feel most welcome and taken care of. Your genuineness and easy going personalities put a smile on our face. Can't wait to come back!
Great food and very attentive staff. It's a big restaurant with two patios and lots of sitting space. Live band on Friday.
I came here a month ago and I gotta say the food and place is very fancy and they tasted good. I got tuna tartare and it was amazing and one of the mains salmon fish was great. I also had grilled calamari as an appetizer for first time and its not bad and if it was fried it probably would've been better but I was glad that it wasn't so fattening. One of my mains chicken parmesan was really good and the portions were big. Even though the food was good the whole bill for the meal for 2 was almost $200 but I still had good experience.
Me and a group of friends came here to kick off Canada Day long weekend. Ordered the Hogan's Inn Burger while seated on the patio and the food, atmosphere and live music was definitely to our liking!
We hosted a surprise birthday dinner for my husband. The place was immaculate, Anna meticulously looked after every detail from setting up a gorgeous room, table and impeccable service. At one point I looked up and we had 5 servers coming all at once, so that she could ensure we all ate at the same time. They were all on their game - fast, super kind, quiet as they came in and out. I'd see them come in the room discreetly, or poke their heads in to see where we were all at, so they could plan their next move to clear, or bring in the next course. Anna is a complete class act - she is probably the best I have ever seen at her business - genuinely cares about making an excellent experience for people and she works extremely hard going from front and back of the house - she is not a Manager that lets her team do all the work. She is right in there with them. The food was amazing for everyone - not a single bad or disappointing dish. The ambiance was stunning, dimly lit, great music....It was just spectacular and everyone had an amazing time. Highly, highly recommend for any event.
I don't write a lot of reviews, especially poor ones - Business owners have hard a hard go lately and I sympathize. But, $17 plus tip for this take out "caesar salad" - see attached photo - make your own call... This atrocity was served in styrofoam container and plastic bag.
