Hogan's Cabin

Great cabins to stay up close to Northern Bay Sands. You can hear the ocean as you enjoy a nice fire in the fire pit. It is almost as if you are at the beach all the time.Rooms: 4/5

The cabins are clean, well maintained and serviced. There is cooking equipment, propane bbqs and bedding and towels provided in all cabins. No need to pack up the house. The owners were lovely to talk to and meet. There is a small play area available for young children. The location next to the beach is ideal, especially if you are travelling with young children and aren't quite ready for a full on camping experience.

Myself and my wife stayed at this place Hogan's Cabins this past Canada Day weekend, 2020. We had the misfortune of renting 2 cabins as we were spending the long weekend with our Grandchildren. We all slept on top of our beds with our clothes on. Both cabins had ovens that haven't appeared to be cleaned in YEARS! We wouldn't cook in them! My first inclination would be to throw out the stoves and start new? The mirror in our bathroom looked like it had bodily fluids left on it for months. I had to clean the mess off of the mirrors to have a shave. I wouldn't even tell my wife about that part until we checked out of the place! There were two ladies who "appeared" to be bringing cleaning materials to the cabins each morning. What they were cleaning? I have no idea! If they thought the cabins were clean? I can't imagine what their own homes looked like? One word - DISGUSTING! One part roll of toilet paper was in each cabin with NO extra rolls. I even said to my wife can you imagine a tourist travelling here from out of the Province and had arrived here with this state of a cabin for the lovely sum of $150 per night! I would classify it as highway robbery! The place in my opinion needs to be inspected and/or closed down by the authorities! Not to mention the COVID-19 period we are all going through! One positive? The staff were friendly. However friendliness only cuts it so far! We will NEVER stay there again! The place is not worth $50 a night let alone $150!!! Please everyone be forewarned!!! PS: We were advised to bring our own towels when we booked the place. That should have been our first warning! The small towels and facecloths that were hung in the bathrooms I would classify for my own use as shop rags! That is exactly what I used them for to clean the bathroom before I used it! Yup! All this for the lovely price of $150 per night! Another quick follow up. After calling the Government of NL. This place is not registered or inspected with the Provincial Government? Surprise, surprise! Shady is as shady does!!

Me and my family go down here every year the view is amazing. The staff are really nice and amazing. Rooms could be better but im not complaining.Rooms: 4/5

Friendly owner, lovely cabins with knotty pine throughout, firewood provided, as well as all the amenities, no air conditioning but lovely breezes off the ocean, right across the road from the beach....wifi only available at the office though.

Great staff and location, cabins have all the basics you need for a weekend stay though bring a couple of extra pillows!.

Great place! Friendly staff..even better when the weather's nice only a minute away from the beach.

Stayed there in mid 80s and my cousin francis hogan let me and dougie drive pickup around northern bay it had no muffler so it sounded awsome

Cabins are ok, what you would expect. The mattresses are terrible. They are clearly the cheapest ones they could find in the store.

Always a good time at Hogans Cabins! Been going there for 10 years now and not a complaint!
