Fishers' Loft Inn

Spent 2 nights here. Loved this place. The hosts were great. Views amazing! Location was great (1.25 k walk to local groc/liquor+beer store, less than that to local craft Brewery), All the rooms include such thoughtful amenities such as mini fridge, small kettle, keurig (Plus some coffees & teas), 2 glasses, 2 wine glasses, 2 spoons.... other rooms had 2 mugs, but not ours (maybe an oversight?). Fan, sm binoculars, flashlights. Robes, reading materials. Small TV discreetly tucked out of sight in armoire. 2 Reading lamps attached to headboard!! They even put a note on the bed to let me know they ensured pillows/duvets were not feather/down! Most all rooms have 1queen bed, very comfy! Rooms/Suites spread out over 6 houses/ building on a hillside. Lots of chairs scattered outside, all with views! Rainy day? No problem, they have several bookcases of books & games, in a couple common rooms!

Holy snobbery! If you are a regular blue-collar person like me you will not fit in here. We stayed in the cheapest "Garden" room - not cheap at $155/night with no breakfast included! The room was the size of a postage stamp - nowhere to hang a wet coat, nowhere to sit. The walls are paper thin - you can hear it when the people in the next room go pee! The first morning I was awakened by the guy next door sneezing at 630am, the second morning by the guy next door hammering on the very tight wooden-sashed window to either open or close it, and the third morning by a bunch of housekeepers who had gathered in the main floor housekeeping stock room for an early morning gossip session.There were two chairs but they were kind of jammed in awkardly. There was a giant armoire taking up more space than needed since it was placed diagonally across a corner, but it was too huge and heavy to shift. One teeny tiny window, only large enough for one person to look out, but fogged up anyway. Got no sleep or relaxation here at all, don't stay here!!

Very nice place for a beautiful dinner. Best meal we had all week! The view can only be beaten by the company you keep.

Excellent hotel, very well run, comfortable and a Haven. Restaurant has excellent food.
