Hoffman Lake Camp

The place is fantastic! Nice moderately sized family oriented campground... very cozy with a great atmosphere! The owners are very personable and willing to help with any needs/ issues that may arise. The little camp store is well stocked with anything one may need or have forgotten for their trip and the prices are reasonable. Overall, the campground is very pleasant and definitely worth a visit!

Showed the lady at the desk my reservation when we arrived. She looked at me and said well that doesn’t help me much. I said it’s our reservation that you sent us online. She gave me a nasty look then goes oh ok. Hand is a card and explained how to get in and out. The store where you register is very dark and workers inside are not friendly. Our site was nice and clean. There was no mini golf like advertised. There is maybe one small boat that you could rent unlike advertised. Kids did get to swim in the pool for the first day then the pool was closed all day the next. Office was suppose to be closed for an hour our second day and it was closed almost all day so could not talk to anyone that worked there. Slash pad is only on if it’s 85 degrees or more. Pool and splash pad both close early at 8. They do have a park for the kids but many things were broke. Very small beach area that got over crowded fast. The lady that camped year round two trailers down was not friendly and came out yelling about our van being where she didn’t want it. Saying the owners don’t want people parking there. No sign posted about it and they posted signs about everything everywhere. Just all together not a kid friendly place. Pretty disappointed when we wanted to spend a nice few days with your family before school starts back up.

This campground is absolutely terrible. The owner approached my family and friends rudely and targeted us because of a false accusation of not obeying the speed limit. He then let one biased opinion over rule actual witnesses of the problem and was childish and flat out rude. A couple of friends of ours rode bikes around the campsite later at night and spotted a camp employee drunken and loud in a quiet time. Bathrooms are unclean and spider infected. 0 privacy in both bathrooms. Beaches and public areas of the grounds were gross and unsafe. But the privatePay more areas were kept clean and tidy. This campground makes mother nature herself depressed absolutely embarrassing. Moral is this campground gave me the worst three days camping i’ve ever had!. Have some respect and grow up.

Campground offers access to Hoffman Lake and is well maintained. Staff is also nice. I love to fish and would have loved more shore fishing options. Only one pier for the boat launch where you can fish. Otherwise, it is quite shallow along shoreline with lily pads. Would return if in area.

We really enjoyed our stay! The campground is very clean and there are several amenities on site. There is a nice pool, beach area, excellent camp store, areas to fish, a nice sized playground, and more! There are activities to partake in. Very kid friendly, and a 5mph speed limit thst is taken very seriously. The only down fall was the mosquitoes, so make sure you bring bug spray and tiki torches. We will be back!

The place was beautiful and other campers very friendly and generous. That being said, upon arrival, we purchased a full load of wood which was supposed to be delivered to our campsite. 3 hours later…we asked again for it to be delivered and they said “well when do you need it?”! We were told there was electric hookup, we brought a tent but wanted to charge our devices like phones, etc…a camp staff member approached and said the lower amp power doesn’t work and she’d grab us an adaptor for it. Upon giving the adaptor to us, she said “we are giving these out since it’s not working”. A few minutes later, I see on my reservations there is a $15 “adaptor rental” fee with outstanding balance on my bill. This was never mentioned by staff. Firewood is very expensive and if you are relying on solely that to cook with, you can easily spend $60 if you spend more than a night or two. The people who live in this campground seasonally were heard gossiping about how they “didn’t like kids running through their yard” and “couldn’t handle” when the campground is full. This place caters to RV campers solely and doesn’t seem to care much about or for tent campers.

We have stayed here a few times, our family loves coming staying at HLC . Definitely a family atmosphere! The owner Stacy is great if you need anything just ask! She is a mom and is running a campground talk about family!! Her boys came by in the rain and offed to pick up our trash and take it up front for us! How awesome not something they normally do HLC is alway keeping people up to date on Facebook and Instagram you can never say you didn’t know what was going on, just follow them! We will be back time and time again. Where else can your kids play, ride bikes and just be kids! Great sites and great people!!

These owners are amazing. They only want what’s best for their campers so they enforce a strict 5 MPH speed limit in the campground. This is particularly important with Ann’s the kids and dogs that enjoy these grounds. Can’t abide by that. Don’t come in!!! Other than that ALWAYS something going on here. Love it!!!

DO NOT BOOK HERE!! BEWARE!! If I could give this 0 stars I would. We were accused of driving over 5 mph and kicked out without a refund. The owner was unbelievably rude and childish. He approached us with hostility and drunken abandon. This is no place to bring your children. Aside from the awful ownership, it was dirty and unsafe. Avoid this campsite at all costs.

DO NOT BOOK HERE!! Beware!! Awful. Dirty. Rude and irresponsible management. The owner approached us aggressively and threatened us. Called the police and kicked us out without any cause. They unrightfully accused us for things we didn't do. And kicked us out without any excuse. This owner is vindictive and aggressive. My family was forced to leave because one of the full time residents mistakenly accused us of going over the 5mph limit. Without any reason, any evidence, and any recourse. The owner came to our site and would not listen and he made us leave. My family was devastated. He ruined our trip. This owner is heartless and you should not support this campsite in any way. I wish i would have read these words before i wasted my money here.
