I have always has a fantastic service at Hilary's Cheese. They carry the most amazing products! Cheeses that you can't get anywhere else. I love having the opportunity to speak with Sonja Todd. She is not only a renown Sommelier, but also cheese expert! Regardless of who is on, I have always been met with extremely knowledgeable and very kind staff. I will be back, again and again!
We enjoyed a lovely lunch at Hilary's today made more enjoyable with excellent service. Our server was very attentive. My elderly parents happily split a baguette sandwich and had a cup of soup on the side. We enjoyed a very generous Ploughman's platter of bread, assorted cheese, salami & olives. The cheese on the platter was a selection of imported and local cheese which our server confirmed would be to our liking prior to assembling the platter. It was. We also enjoyed our glass of wine from local Vancouver Island winery Enrico Wines.
Love cheese? You'll love Hilary's! Bought cheese here on two occasions, enjoyed both times. You can taste just about everything before deciding to purchase. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Want to try the grilled cheese of the day next time!
Lovely place, if a bit out of the way. Employees were extremely helpful, and helped us through tasting a good dozen cheeses. Would be a great place to stop for lunch on a long trip. The bakery next door is VERY good as well.
Always stop here when out on the motorcycle. They are alw helpful and informative. Of the ten..yes ten we bought today the Espresso Cheddar was was the biggest hit! Thanks Hilary's.
The owner knows her cheese and has some fun events. Loved her funky fondue friday. During the summer she does a wine and cheese sunset cruise.
Soup and sandwich was so delicious and hit the spot. Hilary's is a beautiful lunch spot overlooking Cowichan Bay. Great cheese too!
Hilary's Cheese and Wine Bar is a warm wonderful place with fabulous cheeses both local and International, excellent wines, terrific meals and some great live music. A must visit!
Great and fine sandwiches ! We stopped here during visiting Cowbay and enjoy toasted "brie et marmelade de poivron" : as french tourists, we found them very "french-tasty".
Great selection of cheese. They are very good at helping you find one for whatever occasion you need. You can always try before you buy most of them, at least!
