Peaceful and relaxing. Hickory Grove is a great place to come and enjoy. We have sites to fit all your needs! We back up to the Hennepin Canal where you can fish, boat, hiking and biking. A great place with great people! Stay a night or stay for the season. Full hook-up sites. Check out our affordable rates.

This campground is a hidden gem! Beautiful, quiet, and well maintained. We loved the owners spirited welcome! They made sure we had everything we needed. If there was a bug problem, they were willing  to come spray. Never needed it thiugh! They led us to our campsite and helped us get lined up. They came by often so if we had any questions, they were easy to approach. We came on a great weekend and was invited to a cookout and fireworks, which were wonderful. We would love to have a permanent spot here! All the campsites are well spaced and have lots of privacy and lots of shade. Joan and Dave, thanks for a fantastic weekend. We will be back!

We initially had a 1 day reservation as a stopping point on our way to Iowa.  Loved it so much we stopped on the way back and stayed for a week.  It’s very well maintained, sites are large and level.  Very quiet and may be the most beautiful campground we’ve found.   The owners are lovely, fun people.  Hope to be back next year.

If we could give Joan and Dave of course Larry and Donny too 10 stars, we would!  Joan was always helpful with everything we asked of her. The park itself is amazing, very accommodating for large rigs we have 45' toy hauler with a porch we like to put down and two 2 personal vehicles. Very spacious lots, with well kept landscaping, along with beautiful nature.  We had a great time and wish we could find a park like Joan's everywhere we go.

Camped last week in one of the cabins available. Beautiful large property with lovely mature trees. Decorated in the spirit of Halloween! Kudos to the decor person! Cabin was quite roomy, one night it rained and we had pizza delivered from Bellagios in Sheffield at owners suggestion. Great pizza! Spent a few days exploring and biking along the Hennepin Canal State Park. Time well spent. Will definitely be back!

Hands down, the best campground ever! Words alone don’t describe how beautiful, relaxing and wonderful this campground is! The owners Joan & Dave treat everyone like family. We count down the days to our trips here! Thank you!!!

Aug.27,2022 Reviews are so accurate when they call this a hidden gem!! It was a wonderful campground and the owners were so kind, friendly and helpful.  They suggested a steak place for supper and my husband loved it!  Will definitely be back when passing thru!

Gorgeous campground with spacious sites, reasonable rates, and Joan is so friendly and helpful!  We were just passing thru, only able to stay one night but I wished we could have stayed longer to enjoy the peaceful setting.  Thank you for providing a stress-free and enjoyable stop on our road trip!

Hickory Grove is an absolutely lovely campground! The sites are generous & the grounds are extremely well kept. This is a HUGE property that winds through the trees, I highly recommend taking a walk through to see it all. While most of the lots are seasonal, all are immaculate & you can really tell that everyone takes pride in their piece of this oasis!  We were originally booked to stay 4 nights but extended 1 more. The day we arrived, our little cat escaped from our RV. We looked around for her for days and finally decided to make flyers & let the community know to keep an eye out for her. When I brought a flyer to the office, Joan didn’t just agree to hang it and watch for her, she contacted local animal control to arrange for me to borrow a live trap to help catch our girl. Next, Joan asked one of the seasonal residents thank you Will & Carol! to bring some of their live traps to give us a better chance of bringing her home. After 2 nights of traps, we were successful & were able to continue our adventure with our family intact! This isn’t just a lovely campground, Joan & Dave have created an incredible community and I cannot recommend them enough.

My husband and I stayed here. We love it! The owners were awesome people! So friendly and helpful. Our campsite was awesome it had so  much space, it was so quite and peaceful with full hookups. We loved it so much we’re going back again in September. We made lots for new friends. We even loved all the sites they recommended to us to see. Thanks Joan for an awesome long weekend.
