We stayed at the Hiawatha for a snowmobile trip. Great place! Easy parking with a trailer, rooms are accessible from outside, trails are right out front, 2 bars right next door with great menus and friendly staff. It really couldn't be anymore convenient. Renee at the Hiawatha is outstanding! Extremely friendly. Will most definitely be back. Thank you Renee for a great experience.
I brought my 90 year old parents to the Hiawatha Lodge for our family reunion. We had the best time ever! The rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was wonderful. My parents loved helping themselves to the breakfast sandwiches and fresh fruit and coffee. We could not have asked for a better breakfast! The eating area was big enough for everyone to sit together. The manager went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed. She even called me to tell me that my mom left her phone charger in the mail, and she would mail it to her. I would highly recommend this lodge for families of any age! I can't wait to book our next trip! Sharon Mullaney, Evergreen, Colorado
We have stayed at the Hiawatha for years. It's older but rooms are nice. I wish they didn't allow dogs, though. They make too much noise. There is a restaurant/bar attached to the hotel and Sweetwaters is within walking distance.Rooms: 5/5
This is the fourth time we’ve stayed at the Hiawatha Lodge, and we’ll keep coming back. Renee and Sharon are excellent hosts who know how to get things done and make things happen so guests have no worries. We haven’t even explored all the amenities such the ping pong and pool tables on the main level, or the video room on the lower level. The one which keeps us coming back is the huge pontoon boat seats 16 or 2,300 lbs. Room prices are very reasonable, include a continental breakfast from 8a-10a, and 24 hour reg/decaf coffee and/or Orange or Apple juice. Other activities and facilities are literally right next door, such as the Kickback restaurant, the Sweetwater Bar and Grill, and for anyone who likes being a kid, the Linda/Steve Strauss family operate “Pirates Hideaway” with 90 minute cruises and wood fired pizza. Lots of local shopping in Eagle River, and you can refill prescriptions at the Walgreens there.
Excellent resort. Very clean. Staff is accommodating and friendly! Our favorite go to place. Turned into an annual visit!!Rooms: 5/5
Our go to location in the north woods. No better staff anywhere we have ever been, we can not wait to return in September! Back once again at our favorite North woods location for another super week with awesome accommodations.Rooms: 5/5
Staff was amazing, rooms were clean, free pool tables, down stairs theater, breakfast. All in all it was a great experience. Then I left and had a delayed package arrive and they were more than happy to make sure it got to me across the country. Thank you again miss Renea and her staff from start to finish was amazing.Rooms: 5/5
This was my second time staying here. It was so good the first time I planned a second party here. It’s got a great location right next to bars and right on the lake. Staffing and Management is very friendly. Bon fire pit in the back is a nice addition as well. Renting a boat and hitting up the bars in the area makes for a great party location and I strongly suggest stay at Hiawatha.
Clean. Friendly. Quaint motel style resort. Warm rooms. Not very hot water.Rooms: 4/5
The room was great, clean with everything you need. Staff is very friendly and helpful which gives things a family feel. We had a great view of the water. It was nice to be able to sit outside on our little patio, and watch the boaters.
