I stopped by with my traveling buddies for the first time last month, thinking we were going to be able to order from the walk up window and take it to go. We were all pleasantly surprised to be greeted with...excitement? a kind of energy that made us all feel at home. then we were promptly taken into the Yoda room which we had all to ourselves, a delightful surprise for my bunch of introverts. the staff and food were all amazing, very reasonably priced for delicious quality food. this is a must stop now for my travels through WA!
Moon biscuits and gravy were so good! They were so friendly and nice too.
If you get a chance to be seated in the bus it's a fun little experience. And on colder days there is a heater in the bus so you don't have to worry about getting cold. good drip coffee offered no specialty coffees though. Staff is friendly. During busy hrs it can be a good wait however you can call for seating ahead of time.
i politely asked if any items off the menu were vegan or could be made vegan. i have been vegan for 25 years as of the point of this edit. 20 years since the review. i was ready for a simple "no" from this place. i never expect any business to have vegan options. that was not sufficient. the server had to yell at the top of her lungs over the morning crowd that they didn't have anything vegan. after this, she proclaimed that she would ask the kitchen, and without waiting for my response screamed across the room to the kitchen staff asking if anything could be made vegan. this clearly disrupted kitchen staff as one person stepped out with a spatula in hand and offered "maybe a bowl of fruit?" while shaking his head and rolling his eyes back dramatically and the server condescendingly said "yeah, MAYBE we can do a bowl of fruit." i have never in my life witnessed service like this, toward myself or anyone else, and i will never forget this. Dietary restrictions: do not respect.
I went for my birthday, made a reservation for the Yoda room. The atmosphere is so fun, and the owner came in with a kazoo to play Happy Birthday for me. It's a great place to go.Food: 5/5
Love this spot. Such a cool aesthetic mixed with warm hospitality and great food Food: 5/5
Super friendly team and great food! My coffee cup was never empty and the food portions are just right. A really great experience! Parking: Quiet neighborhood with easy on-street parking + a large lot directly across the street. Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs and plenty of space for a walker, stroller or wheelchair. The restroom is probably wheelchair accessible, too. I'm pretty sure the door is wide enough, and you don't have to go down a corridor. It's right next to the dining area.
First time here! It was so cute. I loved the decor and even tho we had to wait about a half hour, the waiting room was fun. It's a cute place, I want to eat in the bus someday! The food was excellent as well and not too pricey!
I’ve always loved this place! It’s quirky, the food is excellent, the staff is kind and competent. Getting to pick out a mug for your coffee is so fun and satisfying. Being able to wait with coffee outside in the summer mornings or in the winter, playing cards inside while we wait to be seated is just perfect. I hope that this place is always in Bremerton. Getting to sit in the bus is always a treat!
Wow! This place lived up to the hype! The was a short wait but it wasn’t a big deal. We sat in their waiting room just next to the actually restaurant. They offer you coffee while you wait though! The waiting room was filled with toys for the kids and over just and interesting space. The dinning area was very eclectic and hippy. They have a thermos collection that is out of the world. The most interesting thing idols probably the BW bus seating area. You also serve yourself coffee from a converted rear en of a VW bus. This place was just too cool. The food was great! Some of the best biscuits and gravy I’ve ever had! The biscuit are made in a waffle iron they are so darn fluffy! My wife got green eggs and ham! It was great!
