My family and I eat here on a regular basis. The food is excellent and the prices are very good. It is clear that Warren and his staff take great pride in the restaurant. It is clean and welcoming. I've also had the privilege of eating a few catered dinners by Hendows Fine Food at various events. All very well prepared and delicious. I would recommend Hendows anytime.
Hendows is hands down one of the best experiences ive had in a long time, for a welcoming home cooked meal and atmosphere. Chef Warren owner welcomes you himself when you walk through the door and his food will speak for itself! Its fantastic! These meals will he hard to top for anyone else! Thank you Warren and staff for working so hard......had a great experience!
Biggest burger I've ever had. Delishous smoked meat and very good value. A must-check-out in my opinion!
Be cautious!!! Ok, chocolate milk was sour. Waitress had dirty bandaids when bringing food. Rye bread was burned, coffee was super watered down. Save your money and go elsewhere. Food was barely hot. Also it was a very small portion of home fries which were over cooked. Also the ham on the monster breakfast didn’t seem right.
I've been here a couple of times. I want to clarify that the atmosphere is more of a casual dining experience than the "fine dining" that is its label. That said, the food is incredible. I've done breakfast and lunch, both fantastic and very reasonably priced. I live 30 minutes away and happily make the trip to eat here. I encourage you to do the same!

What a pleasant surprise! A small, family run restaurant with incredibly delicious home-cooked food. Warren's ribs are to die for whether they are sweet, spicy or stuffed. I'm a rib gal and these are the best ribs in the city! Chicken, turkey, roast and ribs are slow-cooked on the smoker until they reach a mouth-watering, smoky tenderness. Breakfasts consist of hearty comfort-food! You won't leave hungry. We've eaten at Hendows Fine Food several times and, with our busy lives we tend to order a lot of take-out. My husband picks everything up and we enjoy a home-cooked meal out on the patio! Prices are very fair!
Stopped in today for some take-out beef brisket. I have to say that the meat was FANTASTIC. Warren also gave us some of his homemade BBQ sauce to go with it. The brisket was so tender and tasty. I would recommend it highly. Thank you, Warren and Hendows Fine Food!
Peterborough’s best kept secret! Well no more!! Delicious Brisket! Friendly and reasonable prices! I will be back for breakfast and Lunch for sure!
Ive had two meals here,ham and roast beef the ham dinner was a catered easter dinner. When my staff told me we would be getting ham dinners from here, i thought yay another meal im going to hate not a fan of meat in general it came in . One of those white flimsy take out containers. Which i was a bit upset at first, thinking of the environment. But i got one whiff of it and i was quite happy that it was in such an easy container to n get intO. i dont know what He does to the meat, whatever it is. makes the meat out of. This. World but it wasnt just the meat the gravy was so good i was scrapIng eEvery drop i cOuld. Its like nothing youve tasted before. The veggies were as good. same for the potatoes. ive Never had Meat that I was willing to tear through the package For. ..... the same happened with the roast beef Dinner i. Was so. Full by the amount i got too. perfect all around. better than perfect. .. cant think of whats better than perfect. ...sorry You have to try it for yourself ! im going back again and again.you should too.
