Came by for dine-in and tried a few different dishes. The food was amazing, so good I forgot to take photos of it so I'll just be including the menu. Food was very filling, delicious and fresh. Decent pricing as well. Meat portions were a bit small compared to how large the rice was but I'm not complaining. Overall, experience was amazing and will definitely be coming back.
We dined in for lunch on a Saturday. The food is made very fast and they taste great when fresh and warm! My favourite is the Pulao and the Wraps were full of flavours. They have many items on the menu which are kids friendly! They ask you if you want mild or spicy which I appreciate. The seating areas could be more pleasant but it wasn't bad at all. The owner is nice.
A small place with very limited dine-in capacity, just 3 to 4 tables of 4 each.. food was good, nothing extraordinary, didn't like the chapli kabab, however chicken boti and beef seekh kabab were good, kabuli pulao and mantoos were the highlight for me. This place is in the middle of a large commercial area so parking space is ample. I went on a Saturday, didn't need a reservation in advance, and no wait time.
What an amazing experience! From the first call with Barak to the end. We catered for 25 staff for a retirement party. The food was excellent and so fresh. The food was well seasoned and flavorful. Customer service was top notch. Definitely recommend. Thank you Barak for everything.
Wanted to try helmand kabob palace because the reviews and pictures looked great, the food was fresh and good quality, but incredibly bland for afghan food. Almost no seasoning was used at all, chicken and beef kofta both just tasted like plain meat. Rice was also plain. The naan was mediocre at best. I could see in the google pictures the food looked completely different, you could actually see the seasonings, but not on the food i ordered. Im shocked to see such good reviews for this place as I've tried a dozen local afghan restaurants and this one is at the bottom for me.
One of the best kebab place in Durham/ Pickering. So far we tried sultani kebab, Waziri breast kebob and pulao rice. All are in excellent taste. We recommended to one of our friends, and they too like this place a lot. Customer service is always nice and very friendly. The owner is very nice guy.
If you DO NOT want to get sick then avoid this restaurant at all costs. Knowingly sold us rotten kabobs. They also warmed already cooked kabob, terrible what they did.
Food is authentic.. Flavours are really delicious. We always enjoy the food bought here. Owner is humble and warm. Engages with the customers and suggests specials, etc. We ordered chicken half came with Rice, Salad & Naan - very delicious, generous portion of aromatic rice and meat. Naan was fresh and Salad is good. This is our quick to-go place and I would definitely recommend to try the food here.
Always fresh and bursting of delicious flavour. Very good quality and clean meat, fresh crispy salad. Great service, helpful with accommodating and made with love that you can taste. Really good portions especially the bbq platters… such good value. My go to place right now.
It was a pleasure to be treated with so much care and love. Beautiful lady treated me with great enthusiasm and was very professional. Food tastes very authentic, homemade, and the best part is that it did not leak with oils. Just perfect Thank you for an amazing service
