Hei Hei Rice Roll

Arrived around 9:50am and there was someone waiting for the store to open! As the second person in line, I had 3 more people after me! The order process was fast and smooth! I had mine order dinned in.picture The rice roll was smooth and thin! Which is a good thing for rice roll. Cause the thick rice roll was unauthentic according to the Cantonese. You do have put a fair amount of soy sauce in case to the perfect flavor! Overall, it’s a good place to grab rice roll in Richmond! I will be back!

As far as rice rolls ago, I quite enjoyed this place. The congee was great too, although there was an aftertaste to the pork, so it properly wasn’t super fresh. But overall, I would come back here for the rice rolls although there is a long wait. It was a 50min wait for our order, but the line never died down. So that was understandable and I had a chance to do some shopping as I waited, it was not a huge issue.

Tried this place for the first time months ago and it's definitely a solid joint if you are craving rice rolls. Their rice here seems to be in house milled which makes their rice roll extra soft, fluffy and melt in your mouth! Try to avoid weekends as the wait times can be upwards of 30mins+! Unless you are there bright and early before opening. For a hungry guy like myself, I need at least two of these bad boys to hit the spot. Highly recommend the original with Beef, Pork and shrimp! Their sauces here really hit the spot with the sweet soy and chilli oil. I got the beef brisket one as well, and found that one more to be on the soupy side, which is a no go for me personally. So if you're itching for rice rolls, give this place a try!

The rice rolls were processed in a decent time frame even with 10 orders ahead of me, which took about 20 min before I collected my order. Your number is on an electronic counter to indicate which order is out. The rolls itself was thin and silky, but still have a nice chew and snap to it when it’s still hot. You are even just enough watery sweet soy sauce for the rolls to soak up. There were generous amount of shrimp topping as per picture for $8. I decided to do the combo and add the congee for another $5. I highly recommend the rice rolls, but it does not go the same for the congee. Even though it was a generous serving with preserved egg and minced pork, it was quite bland and msg is in the broth as there was a sandpaper effect on my tongue for a while. Also, the girl at the counter is quite passive and needs a lesson on customer service. I only asked if I can take my tray of food, and she lazily just shooed me away as though I was disturbing her from her phone.

We went to Richmond Public Market and waited one hour to try Hei Hei Rice Noodles. This wasn't unexpected as we'd heard from someone else already that they'd had to wait one hour for their food at Hei Hei Rice Noodles. It seems to be the norm as when we went there, the shop even had a sign on the counter, advising people that they might need to wait an entire hour to get their food! So were the rice noodles good? Yes. Although the seafood rice roll could have had more seafood in it! The texture of the noodles was soft and moist, yet at the same time firm so that the noodles didn't break apart too easily. Would I wait one hour to eat them again? No thank you! Service: Fair Can't expect much service from a food court stall that takes one hour to get your food to you! Parking: Covered parking. Plentiful and free. Location: Inside the food court of Richmond Public Market so there are many other options to choose from if you want something other than rice noodles for your meal.

Fresh and hot rice roll and worth the price! Only bad thing is the wait; even though I went during not rush hour 3pm, I still had to wait 30 minutes. It's also CASH only. Tip: order ahead the day before or uber eats! I ordered the shrimp one and it has up to three free toppings. It was super hot when I got it and very soft and silky. The shrimp was also great. The employees were nice too!

Tried this famous rice roll located at Richmond Public Market. The Char Siu rice roll is great! Many people recommended this to me. And it tastes good as said. Just the waiting time is too long. It took us 40 minutes to get our roll.

Ordered their truffle seafood rice rolls, pork rice rolls and congee. I love rice rolls and this place serves incredibly fresh and really good quality rice rolls. However, be warned of the long line ups and cost. Basic pork/ beef rice roll cost $8, and the truffle seafood one was $13. Congee was good and filled with ingredients.

Been here a few times. Wait time can be very long during peak hours, so check the wait time sign before you order. The food is totally worth the wait, though. The rice rolls have amazing texture and are freshly made, which beat many dim sum places in the lower mainland. Tried their drinks which are also delicious. A must visit if you like rice rolls.

This might be the best place to go for cheung fun - it's smooth and thin just how it should be. You can ask for scrape or rolled style when ordering as well as free toppings. I recommend ordering 2 unless you're not that hungry. They get really busy, so the wait can be upwards of 40 minutes. They write order numbers on a little board for you to collect your order instead of calling out. I'll definitely come back in the future! Vegetarian options: There's three rice rolls that are veggie: vegetarian, mixed sauce adds sesame sauce, and plain. The soy milk drinks also look good!
