With all the choices on Cape Cod we were very pleased to choose Hearth 'n Kettle. I ordered the turkey dinner melt and my husband got the pork schnitzel off the October menu. Everything was excellent. Large portions-neither of us cleaned our plates. Waitress was pleasant and efficient. This is a comfortable, homey feel restaurant. I wish we didn't live 27 hours away or we'd be back for sure!
Nice old fashioned looking place. For you older locals like me, the decor reminds me of Pewter Pot. Came off season, so very quiet. Great menu selection and food was quite tasty. I’d definitely come here again.
Highly recommend potato cakes! I usually do the eggs Benny, decided to try something new. I'm so glad I did. All 4 of us were very happy with the service, food and value.
Thank you for a wonderful lunch and good atmosphere. The waitress was lovely and good natured when ordering. Food was very good and hit the spot for more fun adventures on my trip to Plymouth.
Worth while Trip down memory lane of the cape in the 70's. Service was great, quick seating, reasonable prices. Get your own pot of coffee so no need to ask for refills. Fries were on the soft dull side. Rubin sandwich was good. Beef barley soup was the best.
Breakfast is seriously good! Cinnamon bun pancakes are a must try! Omelettes are tasty and eggs cooked perfectly.
We had a very nice dinner there. We shared a side of Spinach Salad and Turkey Dinner. Service was really good. The place is cute and homey feeling. The salad was quite nice with a lot of good bacon, fresh spinach and some egg. The Turkey dinner came with mashed potatoes, mashed squash surprisingly tasty, gravy and cranberry sauce. The Turkey was fresh and tasty. The mashed potatoes were just right and even the cranberry sauce was nice. After eating seafood for the last 3 days we wanted a little change and this turned out to be a great choice.
Great place to eat. They have alot of tables so there is not a long wait even with the staff shortage that is hitting the cape this year. The food is super fresh
Little pricey but the service and the quality of the food was good
##4 hours to get dinner## had reservations for large group on Thanksgiving. Or seating time was 2pm, waited 45 minutes to be sat, and it's a holiday and busy so it's understandable. Then had to wait 30 plus minutes to see the waitress just to place drink order. Waited quite a while for drinks, another half hour before the waitress took the food order.... waisted more time before the apps showed up. Another large group was sat right next to us about 30 minutes after we had been, this group had had their drinks and apps ,bread before we even placed our order. Food took forever to get out and if you could find the waitress you'd have to bother her for refills, bread, service. Her disposition wasn't the best, but she shouldn't of been doing such a large section and large table by herself. Food was cold, some was overcooked. From being seated to check was 3 painful hours of poor service and mediocre food, plus the hour wait to be sat with reservations. means our 2pm reservation had us out the door at 6pm. The poor experience was compounded that the large group behind us came in after us, was served and had left well before our group. The whole thing was awful.
