Story

Our casual waterfront restaurant is located right on the docks of Hyannis Harbor across from the Hy-Line ferries. Dine inside, where the look is all about classic seaside style, or outside on our heated patio while watching the boats sail in and out of the harbor. The menu features everything from thick, juicy burgers and garden-fresh salads to fresh native seafood and prime beef. Visit the Black Cat Tavern, year-round favorite among locals and visitors alike. Serving lunch, dinner and Sunday brunch with entertainment four nights a week in the lounge. Plenty of free parking with valet service offered for your convenience.

Three restaurants in one. Make reservations for the finer dining with expanded menu (far left). Seating is both indoors and outside under nice canopy with fine china and more proper attire. In the middle is the outside oyster bar with decent menu, open air setting and lively bar. On the right is the more casual, sit-down eatery with outdoor and on-the-porch seating. The latter two have a more limited menu but something for every member of the family. Food is great. Save the fine dining for a special night or for your last evening in town! Great food!! Chowder is award winning and the best I had in Cape Cod.

Good Food, but didn’t have much food options in my opinion. Their lobster bisque ( super super creamy) but aside from the food. Good costumer service

Obviously this is a great location across from the harbor! A few times every summer, I a cup of chowder while enjoying drinks at the Shack Out Back. The buffalo chicken wrap is also good!

First visit to the Cape and this was a place recommended by our hotel. Very good food and drink choices. Valet parking (mandated) was convenient in a town not known for parking options. Interior decor spot on. Clean grounds and restaurant. Right near Hyannis Harbor, the boat tours, and island ferries. Casual or dress up. Outside seating, inside dining room, large bar, outside bar. Owner Scott was on site and very welcoming. Went back before our trip ended and will be back again. $$+

We Googled places for seafood on our first night of vacation visiting from the Midwest. Google maps to the Black Cat Tavern were taking us in circles and we were ready to give up. Instead I called and the owner Paul answered. He guided us through the last 5 minutes of our trip so we could find their location YAY we had the BEST SEAFOOD we have eaten in years! Highly recommend the clam chowder and the crab cakes. We ate a little of everything. Since we try to eat our veggies too my husband & I shared the Mediterranean Salad (spinach kale feta pistachios blueberries radishes OMG!) Everything was fabulous and our bartender/server so pleasant & friendly too. Love this place!
