Holy omelette. What a feast I had. I haven't had an omelette in ages. I ordered the 3 egg Hugh western omelette with a side of home fries. Greg had a short stack of the blueberry pancakes with a side of bacon. Real maple syrup also. One word describes both DELICIOUS and plentiful. It's a bit to find but we'll worth the end result. They also have smoked meats. I am indeed a fan and was given a taste. New customer now. Do your self a favour and treat yourself to either breakfast, lunch or BOTH.
As a big fan of Mark BBQ I’ve been excited to try out Heart n Soul and I finally got the chance Friday. Everything was very good, especially the appetizers - specifically the meatballs which had some sort of spicy aioli. We were pretty blown away. The crab hush puppies were good too, but overshadowed by the meatballs. The chicken fried steak with risotto and fried chicken with truffle mashed potatoes entrees were excellent as well - see photos. They were prepared and cooked right and not over-seasoned/sauced the way a lot of places in the same price range do. Our server was incredibly attentive and amiable and really made the experience a positive one. We’ll definitely go back.
Very good Texas style BBQ. Brisket, ribs, pulled pork and wings are all fantastic. The Carolina style mustard BBQ sauce is best I have had and the Dr Pepper BBQ sauce is my favorite.
Had a mediocre breakfast. Very disappointed after rave reviews and amazing pictures. Part of it is my fault for not asking the right questions… I asked if they had links or patties for sausage, and was told Links. Not really, as Swifts Premium BrownNServe isn’t really links because they’re skinless if it’s Not Swifts, someone is copying to a T… Didn’t ask if they used Canned Corn Beef Hash… they do… but make Brisket …? It’s my fault for assuming I wouldn’t have to ask these kind of questions at a BBQ Joint. I’ll be back to try the BBQ for dinner, because, Service was outstanding, and it’s a great space. Everyone was super nice.
This place has the atmosphere of a real deal bbq joint. I had brisket with a side of cowboy beans. The brisket was dry and not very flavorful, not much of a smoky taste. The beans were good but were more like pulled pork with some beans in there. As pulled pork it was good, but not my idea of a bean side dish.
Portion size was huge! Stack of pancakes could feed an entire family. Took my daughter there for breakfast last weekend. Have been thinking about it all week and heading back again with the family today! Great people, great service!
We've dined at Heart n Soul for breakfast on 3 separate occasions in the last couple months and every experience has been outstanding. The service is great and the food is spectacular!! The portions for the price are some of the best in Chittenden county. If you've not been, RUN, don't walk to try this place!!
Looks like Bluebird BBQ finally has some competition! Wings were amazing, very juicy. Only bad part is these guys are open only Thurs-Sat. Hope these guys expand hours in the future.
I never give a full 5 stars, I save that for the places that blow my mind! The food here is INCREDIBLE! Oh my God, I'd order every day if I could! The da Vinci was so good I almost cried, same with the Cuban. Chefs kiss Not only is the food phenomenal, but when I ordered I only ordered half sandwiches for both, and they accidentally made a whole sandwich instead and let me keep it! I stood there for a moment confused, because I don't know anywhere in VT, of all the restaurants I've tried, that would be that kind! They totally could have just kept the other half, but they let me just have it at no extra cost. This was my first visit and I can confidently say that this place is now my favorite. I will recommend this place to every person I know. TRUST ME, TRY IT! I'm sure you'll be just as happy as I was, and you'll become a forever customer as well! I'd give 10 star's if I could! Oh and the price here is also incredibly reasonable! I was actually surprised at how affordable it was! The half sandwiches are definitely more than enough for one person, and it's like 6.50 for a half!
Awesome barbecue. Highly recommend the ribs. The brisket is also very good. No sauce needed.. and to top it off he has some of the best selection of bbq sauces I have ever had, I love them all so much can't even pick a favorite! Chef really loves what he does and has done his homework on the science of low and slow smoke. He's very friendly and open to share some knowledge about what he loves!
