Head Candy Salon

Before Head Candy Salon, I used to go to the Japanese Seefu Hair Salon on Spadina Avenue. This high-end Salon offered premium hair cutting, dyeing, and styling services and had excellent client care, and that meant a lot to me. The Salon had luxury lay-down shampoo stations, the most comfortable washing stations I have ever satlay in, where I had my hair washed and scalp massaged. The Seefu Salon even offered a shoulder massage before hair styling until it didn’t. Suddenly, without explanation, they stopped with scalp and shoulder massages and started to charge $25 upfront to book an appointment for a haircut and $100 for hair colour. I decided to leave. In my neighbourhood, I recently discovered a new salon, Head Candy Salon at least it was new to me, and went online to check the reviews immediately. They were stellar, and I decided to give this new Salon a chance. With trepidation, I booked the appointment, and today I had my hair cut and colour. My hairstylist Sebastian was respectful, accommodating, and pleasant, providing excellent service. I came in with hair that suffered from sun damage and resembled hay, and I got out with shiny, hydrated, and soft hair. The new hair colour and haircut made me look youthful and vibrant. The Salon is beautifully designed and ideated, clean, and perfectly maintained. I loved it and have already booked another pre-Christmas appointment, which I never do. I was so happy with the service received that I wanted to make sure I would receive the same treatment for the Christmas holidays. I would only like them to have lay-down shampoo beds and more comfortable chairs because I had a tailbone and neck injury and now have trouble sitting for a prolonged time. Phenomenal experience. I am personally very anxious when I get my hair cut but I was extremely lucky having Kristi cut my hair. She was easy to talk to and understood what type of style I was looking for. She also checked in throughout the cut to see if I was okay with how my hair was looking, I will absolutely be going to head candy again and booking with Kristi!!Service: Hairstyling

Really loved the setup of the salon. The chairs are comfy and set up to be so inviting. The hair dressers were also very nice. I got a bad cut elsewhere a couple of months ago and went in to hopefully get it fixed up. The hair dresser softened the layers and blew it out so that it looked nice. I thought it was okay. I think I was hoping for some additional advice on care or product, but nothing was offered. I wasn’t disappointed at all, it was okay. Not sold that I will go back for my next cut.

My first time to this pearl of a salon right in my neighbourhood. Kristi gave me a fantastic cut and was very attentive to what I was looking for. Great Salon! Always pleased with my hair after a visit with Vince! All the staff at Head Candy are pleasant, kind and helpful! Only difficulty I've ever had is having to parallel park by the salon: would recommend thisnP

My go to spot for my hair in the area. Ask for Seb, he's the man! Always gives me the sickest fades. They also do a great job with hair coloring and dyes as well. Fun spot with very friendly staff.

If you're a man who's looking for a place to get your hair cut by someone who actually knows how to cut medium/long hair, Fernando at Head Candy is your guy. No more going to generic barbershops and having your medium/long hair unsuspectingly reduced to a fade.

Went there today cause my gf went a week before. I liked the service and the price was reasonable. They have staff members that can speak Spanish. I booked my appointment with Sebastian, great guy! Very knowledgeable and detailed oriented. Definitely coming back.

Vince, Fernando, Anna and team are top level stylists. Have had cuts/styles by all 3 and each has their unique creativity and talent! In the background Lucia keeps the team flowing smoothly with scheduling and admin. The talent would be reason enough to go here but the team personalities, friendliness and caring actually surpasses the talent. They have become like family!

Updating this to a 3 star from a 2 because I was contacted from the salon, after I posted a poor experience, interested in feedback and/ or correction. Happy to give this place another shot so I'm set up in Oct with Sr stylist. Appreciate the service and follow up, it did make a difference. *previous review deleted
