Since John Heacock’s retirement, the law office now known as Heacock & Associates continues to provide exceptional service. The staff and lawyer female are amazing, courteous, friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. They provided great service to me and the fees were reasonable. Highly recommend

I have dealt with John Heacock for the past 25 years for all my property sales and purchases and have also recommended him to many. Sadly, he is now retired and there are other women now running his practice. Honestly, after meeting this new lawyer once, I have taken my business elsewhere. Generally in the past, we've met with John, given him our information and asked for direction. We'd be given a timeline and a future closing date and off we'd go, generally to return in a week or so, to close our deal and collect the check from the balance of our disbursements. This was NOT even remotely a similar experience. We met with someone other than the lawyer a clerk? who took down some of our information. Afterwards, we were ushered out front to leave. I stopped at reception to discuss the closing date and approx costs with who turned out to be the actual lawyer. WOW. First of all, body language lessons would be extremely helpful for her. Standing with hands on hips, I can't even say how taken aback we were at the price that was verbally spit at us.. at almost TRIPLE what we expecting to pay this is not a double-ended, sale and purchase deal for just a title name change basically! Then we asked about possible closing dates and again we were snapped at. The word, "ATTITUDE", doesn't even come close to expressing what we were handed!!! I don't know if she was having a bad day, if she feels she has something to prove as a new business person or as a woman? in a small town, or if this is how she regularly treats her potential business clients, but even her staff had shocked looks on their faces and were stumbling over their words.. adding comments such as, "umm.. well, it isn't usually THAT much..", "..probably wouldn't be THAT high..", "..we could probably do it sooner than THAT if..", and I could tell our looks of horror were mirrored in their own. We couldn't escape fast enough. YIKES. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone.
