Hawk's Prairie Restaurant & Sports Bar

Once an isolated truck stop/cafe, even the food and service were great, and that has not stopped. Now surrounded by urban encroachment, the restaurant has kept up. Every step has been fine-tuned to create a smooth, efficient, friendly experience, no matter how full it gets. This is an excellent example of just how well a business can grow with the times and improve very step of the way without losing any of its welcoming feeling.

We stopped by lunch on 22 April 2018 around 1245, and we sat in the bar portion of the restaurant. The six of us ordered our lunch and the service was very fast for a Sunday afternoon. The wait staff were very helpful and courtesy to all in the party. We were able to finish our lunch around 1:30pm.

I have been going to this location since 2005. They have always had kind and attentive service. The hostess are really sweet and great with the kids waiting for a table. They offer them the opportunity to spin a wheel and receive a toy. They even offer another toy so its not a choking hazard for young kids. I would give this place a 5 star but on a couple occasions the food was over done and under done, and I didn't end up eating most of my main course. But I have always been happy with the service.

Came here for a farewell get together lunch and had never been before since were still relatively new to the area. Hands down the best waiting service we've had in the state. Our cups were always topped off when ready, all answers were promptly taken care of and time of service was great. They have the BEST fries I've had since moving to Washington. They are the beer battered variety. Very crispy outside and soft inside. Most places I've been to in the area have the nasty crinkle cut from a frozen bag at Costco kind of fries. Chicken fried steak was good, lost of flavor. Grady was good, but not the best I've had. We joined the texting thing they have and got a coupon for the sundae. That sundae was ENORMOUS! And tasted great. Also, a family friendly facility. We had a few littles with us and all the employees were wonderful and attentive to the children as well. This will be our go to restaurant when we want American style food. Great place!

This restaurant is reminiscent of the places my folks would take us too for breakfast when we took long road trips in the 70’s. The decor is retro but very clean and well maintained. The staff is super friendly and attentive. THE FOOD IS AWESOME!!! This place is always jumping, especially on the weekend. Don’t be too discouraged if you need to wait, it’s worth it and they turn tables pretty quickly.
