Great spot in Walla Walla! We sat on the patio that is covered and dog friendly. The staff are very friendly. We had the pimento cheese, chips and dip that surprisingly had roe on top, octopus, clams and linguiça, beef cheeks, celery arugula salad, and fried Brussels sprouts. All of the food was delicious. For our party of four, we shared all of the plates, and it was the perfect amount of food. They have great local wines and good cocktails.
Exceptional food and service. The chips & dogs were tasty, loved the chicken & grits. The over the top dish, fried Brussels sprouts, was exceptional...Best sprouts I've ever had. For dessert we split a tiramisu cake. Very good cocktails and great wine list.
Every time I visit Walla Walla, Hattaways is always on the dinner list. The service is fantastic and I love the ambiance and decor. The onion dip is a must order for an appetizer. The halibut cheeks are also amazing. Highly recommend eating here!
Excellent experience in the heart of Walla Walla. The homemade spaetzle was phenomenal, local wine selection was excellent we did an impromptu tasting and the duck was juicy. Staff was friendly and talkative m, really nice atmosphere. Highly recommend if you’re in town.
This place is a hidden gem. We had the duck confit fried rice, halibut cheeks, beef cheeks, and shrimp/kielbasa etouffe. All of them were phenomenal. Some great flavor construction in each dish. For dessert we had the duck fat corn cake and bread pudding which were great as well. Don’t sleep on the pre-meal pickles or pimento cheese as well. Highly, highly recommend this place! Also, service was top-notch.
Wow. Just....wow. The tongue pastrami...the octopus....the halibut cheeks...the marrow...just wow. Am I being inarticulate because all I can say is wow? Or is that just a sign of how fantastic the food is here. Oh yeah, the service was great, too. The waitress was kind to our kids and did a great job with everything. So the best way to sum it up is......wow.
My husband and I stopped by 10/1/22. Everything about this family owned business is fantastic. The atmosphere is delightful and the decor is adorable. The service staff is incredibly knowledgeable about the food, drinks, and everything on the. They take great care with allergies and intolerances, and made sure to steer me in the right direction on the food menu while also making menu it was something I would like. The grilled octopus was the best I have had outside of east coast Mexico and my husband’s smoked duck was perfectly cooked. The prices for the meals felt like we were getting away with highway robbery with how reasonably the cost. With an app, 2 entrées and 4 cocktails the total was about $130. It did give us the opportunity to tip the server over 20%, which was excellent and her service was top notch. They even did a cute little card and dessert for our anniversary. We would have happily paid twice as much for the food and still felt like it was 100% worth it. Long story short, if you have a chance, eat here as much as possible. Dietary restrictions: The service staff takes restrictions very seriously. They know what is in everything or will check with the chef to make sure your needs are met.
Hands down the highlight of Walla Walla’s culinary scene. Loved it so much we went back the next day. We love that the bartender works so closely with the kitchen and had great recommendations on what to do around town. More importantly, all of their cocktails and food was sublime. The smoked oysters and grilled octopus were a hit. We will be back!
Awesome staff and food! Really enjoyed my meal. All the dishes i tried were delicious. The duck fat corn bread desert was amazing.
Delicious food and drinks. Just listen to the bartender for food, and you'll be treated to some good stuff. The beef cheeks and octopus were perfectly cooked, and the corn was a really nice treat. The cocktails were excellent and balanced as well. Lastly, that bread pudding is so good! PS - we went on a Friday evening without a reservation, and only had to wait maybe 20 mins before getting a seat at the bar.
