I don't give a lot of all 5 star reviews. The service was attentive despite being a busy time. The Charcuterie board was lovely, and a must do again, bacon jam... enough said! The burger was fresh, with fries that were properly done with proper salt. The risotto was well bodied and yet nice and creamy. Good smart wine options with a couple of our favorites listed. We can't wait to sample the craft beer on the patio in summer. We've been looking for our local hangout and have finally found home. We can't wait to bring friends here!
As usual, this place is phenomenal in terms of food and drinks. I’m not sure if Cove had anything to do with it but service was a little bit slow which I am willing to overlook. The staff that did take care of us with friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. We started with the grill, peach, Cristini, and the chick Coudry board, which was delectable. For our means I did the steak dinner with mashed potatoes and my wife did the risotto with chicken. Well, priced, and tasted fabulous. Would recommend this place day after day.
We were grabbing a beer at a brewery 100m away and made a last minute reservation here. The patio setting is spectacular, the cocktails were out of this world and food was amazing. Met the owner Steve, super nice guy…place is well looked after and the reggae music playing on the patio was an added bonus. There was a live band getting ready to play, but we didn’t stay for it…next time!
Great vibe, great food. Harvest is a great Bougie option for Durham region. They have a great selection of vegetarian and healthy options as well as options for meat lovers. I had the arugula salad which was excellent but would probably need a protein option to fill you up as an entrée. But I also had the cauliflower bites which was a perfect vegetarian combo. Others at the table had halibut which was excellent and the risotto was very good as well. Desserts were fantastic.
Me & my hubby celebrated our anniversary here. We instantly fell in love with the decor & ambience. The food was delicious. Service was topnotch. And the restaurant's owner Duke is one of the most humble guy we have ever met! We highly recommend this place!!
Met here with a few girlfriends to catch up over good food and drinks. Have only ever sat outside before but the inside vibe was decent. Food was fresh + gluten free accommodating. And this salad? SO good. Arugula, blue cheese, fresh pear and a delicious vinaigrette. The time limit on tables is still an odd piece to their dining experience so be prepared for that even if you’re still ordering drinks, dessert, etc Overall however .. this is a great spot and worth the drive from GTA to enjoy!
I will say that this place is very beautiful. The space is nice and they have a lovely patio that overlooks a beautiful lawn and garden area. However, the food left a lot to be desired. I ordered the brisket burger. The wait was pretty long but that would be okay if the food is being made fresh. At first, they brought the wrong burger. I let them know and the server questioned what I ordered and didn't apologize for the mistake. When the correct order came out, it was disappointing. It tasted like a normal burger and was overcooked and dry. The fries were really good. My partner got the jerk chicken entree and he said it was okay but overpriced. All in all, if you are looking for a nice atmosphere, I would say to check it out but maybe just for drinks. They serve local brew on tap and what we got was great.
If you are looking for a small and cozy place for dinner with a reasonable price, this is the spot. The food was absolutely delicious, the price was good, atmosphere was really nice and the cherry on top was out server Liam who literally made us all laugh on countless occasions. Would definitely dine again and will be sharing my experience with others I know who live in the area! We had the short ribs, steak, a sandwich and the vegan tacos. All were delicious.
This place is amazing the food was sooooo good flavour and freshness i will definitely be back try the cauliflower i promise you wont b disappointed!!!
Support Local. Liam the bartender set us up with drinks, dinner and dessert and we had an incredible Birthday together. The house is charming and the food was top notch. We feel like we were able to escape the hectic pace of suburbia and had a really relaxing night served with style. Authentic, friendly, and real. Thank you Harvest for an awesome dinner out
