The building and layout are great. The drinks were good. Now, I've been there for both lunch and breakfast to try different menu items. Their breakfast (French Toast and Breakfast Sandwich) is amazing! I'll need to give their lunch another try because I may have not seen things fairly. The prices are a bit high but the menu diversity, food quality and service are top knotch, so I don't mind paying extra. The coffee was also very good.
FYI-Limited parking space and unisex bathroom. The bathroom could use a little TLC. 
I'll be back every single time I stay in Olympia from now on. They have a lifelong customer after my last visit.

The food here is amazing! My husband and I both ordered skillets and although the menu didn't say that The El Mexican came with potatoes, I was happy to find that it did without me having to add an order for an additional $3. The menu doesn't suggest that they have kids options so my 7 year old ordered a $12 meal, which was clearly way too much food for him. Our waitress did let us know when we were ordering that they did have Mickey Mouse pancakes, but I don't think that would have been enough food for a growing boy. They do have a kids hot chocolate, which my son highly enjoyed. The portions are generous. The service was decent. We felt like we weren't treated as friendly as the other guests and it truly seemed like it was because we were the only group that consisted of a child. My husband and I may come back to try some of their other items, as everything sounded really good.

Great service, great atmosphere, speedy cooking and delicious food! The portions are generous and there are the perfect amount of options! I really enjoyed sitting where I could see into the open kitchen, watching each meal come out. Everything is colourful and big! We visited on a Friday around 12p. We came in and were sat right away. I was impressed with how quickly we received our food after ordering. The waiter was knowledgeable and gave us great suggestions, which we took, that treated delicious.

This restaurant was clean. But they only serve breakfast now. The food was not good and over priced. We wanted Tacos and they did not have any.

Good but just a little over hyped.  

The good:
Great ambiance.  Menu is the perfect size.  Creative American/Mexican fusion dishes.  Veg options.  Entrees were pretty good.

The bad:  
Flavors lack depth.  Hot sauce just tastes like mayo.  Random cold pickled carrots on corned beef in tacos(???)
The service moves at an Olympia pace.
