Honestly was kinda worried about coming when I saw the low reviews,but I had a very good experience! The man at the counter was friendly got us our food in like 15 mins, and the Catfish was so good! Crispy zesty, and the chicken was solid just wish I choose tenders to get a little more meat than the wing, but that's on me.
This harold's chicken customer service is horrible!!! The lady working the front register is completely nasty! Rude! And she's completely out of order. Being African-American you'd expect some courtesy behavior. I'm a United States Marine and was treated like straight garbage!! The food was good/ cooks attitude was humble but the young lady is an evil person. She seems to be in her late 50's/ early 60's to old to be acting With such a ghetto nasty attitude. Black-owned or not no customer should fill belittled! Coming from Chicago And looking for good chicken to eat in the suburbs instead of cooking sometimes nothing wrong with that. The cook needs to get rid of the foolish woman before she ruins the business and hire someone with a pleasant attitude who can deal with the public. Especially when the customer/ consumer is paying with there hard earned money.
If I could give them a 0 I would. I placed my order at 6:15pm prior to my lunch break. I was told 20 minutes. I arrived at 7pm still had to waited 10 min. I knocked on glass to get cashiers attention to ask for a time frame since I had called in and was on lunch break. Both her and her husband are rude and disrespectful. Her husband approached the glass unprofessionally “ it’ll be up shortly”. As I attempted to explain that I was on lunch break he continuously cut me off. He went as far as trying to intimidate me by staring “what’s up” as he put his arms in the air. I WILL NOT RECOMMEND NOR WILL I EVER SPEND MY MONEY at this establishment. They absolutely DO NOT know what customer service is. The cashier was very rude tossed my ID & Card through the slotted hole after charging my card. Her attitude is very disgusting she spoke to other customers aggressively and unwelcoming. No masks worn and lady doesn’t wash hands after tendering payment and packing food. I RECEIVED my REFUND. Food is already overpriced as it is but expect people to spend their earned money to be treating in such manner. Im sure this location will be closed soon.
Please! Please! Please!!!!! Stay away!! This is the WORST HAROLD’S CHICKEN EVERRRR!!!!!!!! They are not with other Harold’s they are they own franchise. I don’t understand why do people patronize this establishment when they have 0 customer service skills and the food is not great unless you are high eating it. Are you all really this hungry, you see the reviews. We need to patronize establishments who has excellent customer service skills. I will be at the next board meeting because the city of Aurora will not except this behavior. This was my first time ordering from this place and NEVER!!! Again!!! The husband & wife is the owner. The husband is the cook and he prepares your food so be aware.!! The wife is at the register with her rude a??z. We need to come together and get this establishment shut DOWN.!!! They will make you think it’s the customer’s fault. Read the reviews. Reviews don’t LIE.!!!
I have been to this establishment a few Torres and every time they are RUDE!! Not pleasant or welcoming at ALL. Act like they don’t want your service or your money. And have the nerve to play gospel music and don’t have one ounce of the heart of the Lord. I am appalled. I cant even get to the food review because I can’t get past the lady who takes the orders makes you feel like you’re inconveniencing her by being there.
Being a restaurant owner myself providing customers with quality food as well as great customer service is key to running a successful restaurant. I am truly surprised how this place is still in business! The food is average, the restaurant looks uninviting and the customer service is the absolute worse !!! The owners/employees probably need to just retire instead of treating customers spending their money at this establishment like an inconvience. The man and woman who I assume are the owners , Whom I have experienced extremely rude customer service from both. And being a restaurant owner I understand you may have a bad day sometimes, so I definitely gave them business several different times to see if it was just a bad day they were having , nope the unacceptable, rude customer service was everytime ! Never again, I'd rather drive an hour to the Chicagoland area Harold's where the Harold’s brand is represented the right way than give my money to a business that acts as if they are irritated by my business or presence... I know this location is only surviving because it's the only Harold's in the area but for me I will no longer support a restaurant that just tolerates me but not values or appreciates my business... If I could give no stars that's what I would have given
I’m born and raised Chicago and I’ve been eating Harold’s for over 30 years…I went to this Harold’s in Aurora, IL and it is the WORST I have ever eaten and experienced. The customer service is TERRIBLE…They have blinds that keep you from being able to see food being made and decrease or cease customer interaction…After standing in the place for 20 minutes…I called to say “Hello you have customers trying to order..You would have known this if you weren’t hiding behind the blinds”. When I did receive my chicken 45 minutes later it taste like my chicken had be fried in the same grease over and over” It wasn’t fresh it was just a totally disappointment from the quality I’m use to…DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE!!!!! Just go to the grocery store and buy your chicken and cook it! Thank me later!
Terrible customer service, unprofessional and rude. After I paid for my order I was standing at the window to get the attention from someone so I can order a soda. The man worker came to the window did not ask if I needed anything, but instead pull the shade down, right in my face. If a zero was a rating that’s what they would receive. The chicken was cooked too hard and the fries were burnt and dry. Awful. I will not be returning - I tried as this is my second visit after the first encounter and I waited a year before going back thinking the customer service will change but not. They need to be shut down.
Customer service is TRASH!!! The lady that took my order was rude as hell. The mild sauce was clumpy the chicken wasn’t fried hard like I asked… the fries omg were hard they weren’t fresh at all ,TERRIBLE!!! I would never eat from here again I rather go to the Harold’s that’s in the city. Way better!!! If you’re thinking of stopping here. DON’T!!!! Go to the city to get your Harold’s
CUSTOMER SERVICE IS A ZERO! I ordered some wings, and as I was walking up to the glass to see if they were dropping my chicken fresh, they closed all the blinds on me. Leafds me to wonder, WHAT ARE YOU HIDING?? Why so paranoid when you see someone looking at you cooking their food? Is it not a clean kitchen? They act like they are doing you a favor by selling you some chicken. After reading other reviews I am surprised they are still open! Everything about them being rude and disrespectful are true. They could care less. All good though, they aren't going to get anymore of my money!!
