Harir Kabab House

I am not familiar with Afghan cuisine so I cannot say whether the food is authentic, but I can say it tasted fresh and we enjoyed it. Very generous quantity of food. 4 stars because there seems to be major technical difficulties with takeout orders, and confusing opening hours. - I have tried several times over the course of a year to call them, but their phone number is never activated does not even go to voicemail. - I put in a pickup order on their website, and got an order confirmation via email. I sent it to my husband to pick it up on his way home. When he arrived, the food should have been ready but it was not, and he said it seemed like they were just starting to make it. I noticed this happened with another reviewer. Usually I am skeptical about 1-star reviews but this seems to be a pattern. Everyone incl 2 young kids was hangry and we had plans after so the delay was a bit stressful. - 1-2 times over the past year, we went to the restaurant when it was supposed to be open and it wasn’t open. We have decided to not do takeout with them again, but will dine in when we are sure they are open, and with a plan B in case they’re not open.

Ordered the beef and chicken shami kabab and paid extra to upgrade a qabily rice but they forgot to add the qabily rice. The beef shami kabab is a bit too lean so it was dry and tough, and lacks seasoning. The chicken shami skewer on the other hand is very good with lots of flavour, soft texture, and retained some moisture. Food was prepared quickly.

Food was fantastic! Absolutely delicious! We had the lentil soup and kebab family platter, fantastic food. Will definitely be back! 5/5

Decided to try this place & found the place to be clean with friendly staff. We ordered the Family Dinner for 4 & very impressed with the quality & taste of the food. I liked it so much I ordered the Family Dinner for 2 to take home to the kids. We ordered both the egg plant & chicken qormas that came with the dinners & were both exceptionally tasty. I highly recommend this place & will definitely go back

Indisputable delicious food that feed the stomach and the sou! I had the Afghan sultani and the portion was enough for two but since it was too good to share I ate it all. I’m so happy I discovered this gem, I will definitely order from Harir Kabab again!

The place was clean and the service was fast tho they had only one server on the floor. The food tastes good. It worth the visit. It wasn't expensive as well.

I was skeptical about visiting Harir Kabab House after reading the mixed reviews here on google. I had a very positive takeout experience. The servings are generous, and the food is perfect. I picked up food on a late Friday night. I am visiting again for sure!

It was our first time here. In my opinion it is very expensive, we ordered the family platter for 4 $85 after tax We are very disappointed at the salad quantity as it only feeds 1 person. The container wasn't even full to the top as it should. The meat was a little chewy and the ground beef skewers had pieces of fat in it that I kept spitting. Overall an ok experience and I don't think we will be back.

Few months ago I ordered food on a bad day and I had a lot of stress at work, but needed food for my kids, i couldn’t get the delivery complete online and my stove didn’t arrive at the time was delayed because of Covid for 3 months. So I had to pick the food up myself. I was kinda of annoying to deal with me when I get to the restaurant, which I really feel bad and so embarrassed about it and can’t seem to forget and forgive myself on how annoying I was i was complaining about everything. I am not sure who was the guy gave me the food, but he was so calm , so professional his service and attitude to my complaining were amazing. I just hope I didn’t ruin his day and he forgives me for that. I am really sorry and really appreciate your kindness and coolness to everything. Have a happy holiday

I ordered food to be delivered. When it hadn't arrived after one hour, I called to ask where my food was. I was told that it was there waiting for me. I explained that I had requested delivery. They didn't seem to want to deliver, but I insisted. Eventually, the food arrived, but it was cold and we were missing some of the items we had ordered. After we had finished eating, the delivery guy showed up at our house again with the rest of our order. There were no apologies and no offer of a discount on our order.
