Hardrock42 Gastropub

Excellent beer selection, 50+ and changing constantly. Newly renovated (as per a year ago?) Good staff, quick service. Food is as expected for a bar with great selection for all members of a group that's hard to please. Great place to watch sports as well with plenty of televisions.

Modified from old review.. Had a terrible experience a year or so ago where we were ignored by a few servers. Decided to give it another try recently and the service was fantastic. Our most recent experience definitely redeemed Hardrock for us and we'll likely be back. Great beer selection.

They have a ton of beers on tap...but whoever is selecting is asleep at the wheel. Around 33% of the beers are macro or macro-in-disguise (Mill St., etc). They have a ton of beer from Northern Ontario which is unfortunate because the breweries in N Ontario really don't put out good product. There was no Collective Arts, no Sawdust, no Block Three, no Great Lakes, no Blood Brothers, no Rainhard, no Bellwoods, etc... Just a whole lot of nothing. Super disappointed. If you want to see a real beer selection make a trip down south and hit up Barhop(TO), Birreria Volo(TO), Arabella Park(KW), etc. Hardrock isn't even in the same universe. Don't even get me started on the terrible food.

Had a great time here with friends. Great food. You have to try the wings here.

The prices are a little high in my opinion. 9,50$ for pickle spears... The ladies who work there seem very friendly but I've only ever been served by the guy on the bar side. I have never felt welcomed or like he was even slightly excited to see me and my friends show up. I don't like asking him questions because his answers are not clear and dry, like I'm dumb for not knowing the answer about a drink you sell. Based on my interaction with him alone, I would not return for a 3rd time.
