Hannaford Supermarket

Since they removed several lanes for replacement self-checkouts the wait is much longer and much more frustrating. The self-checkouts are good if you have staff there to monitor it, but you don't, so the system flakes out and requires help or you need to check ID and then you wait for someone to come over from another area to reset the system to allow you to continue to checkout. It simply takes too long and takes away from the automation. The staff is very nice and the store is great but you have to fix the self checkouts situation. One staff member for 4 units should increase the speed you get people through the store; which is what people want.

I love Hannaford. Its the only grocery store I do all my big shopping. The ppl here are so darn friendly.

Produce leaves a lot to be desired. Many items higher priced than other stores. Finally selected 'salad in a bag' for lunch. Got home to find brown edges. Tomatoes were red but hard, and loaf of bread was already stale. All things purchased were within their sell by date.

Continued changes in the product line up make this store unreliable. Many items have been discontinued as the Dutch firm that bought Hanny's moves the product line to higher margin goods. And here's something from their own website: "The Ahold Delhaize strategy, "Better Together," is our compass. It guides our decisions and focuses our efforts, giving our great local brands the flexibility to best serve their customers, associates and communities. Developed by leaders and teams across our businesses, the strategy defines the kind of companies we want to be, what drives us, and how we will win in our markets worldwide." What a bunch of BS. Shaw's, here I come.
