I came here for brunch with my husband, it's absolutely PHENOMENAL!!! we were blown away by our sandwiches: Vermonter and Jerk Chicken. I definitely recommend coming here, prices are between$ 14 and$ 16 but it's worth the price. be prepared to stand in line . there's also outdoor seating.
I went to August First for brunch, and it was good, but not exactly mind-blowing. The food was solid, with fresh ingredients, but nothing really stood out as exceptional. I enjoyed my meal, but it didn’t quite live up to the hype I’d heard.nnThe biggest downside was the seating. There wasn’t any space inside, so we had to sit outside. Luckily, the weather was nice, but I can imagine it being frustrating on a colder or rainy day. It’s a cute spot, but I’d probably explore other brunch options next time I’m in town.
Quite disappointed to be honest. I went in with zero expectations so it's not like this place was over hyped or anything but I was pretty disappointed in the food quality but especially the quantity for the price.nWe had:nDay MakernVermonternMaple biscuit.nnThe maple biscuit was nice and moist but really, really REALLY buttery. I've had all butter croissants in France made with half the butter of this. It was very overpowering.nnThe Vermonter was OK, nothing special.nnThe Day Maker was disappointing. One very small bun with a fried egg and barely any condiments. It would be OK at $5 or $6 but $11 for an egg in a roll is a bit of a joke.
One of my must-visit when down in Burlington. It's a great spot for breakfast, brunch or lunch. Get their steak and egg sandwich and the homemade biscuit ! It's very popular and there's not a lot of seating during rush hour so you'll have to be patient.
This is one of the best bakeries we have ever been too. Everything is freshly baked and prepared. We visit here every time we come to Burlington and we are never disappointed.nnTip. If you get The Vermonter, substitute the red onions with pickled red onions. It will supercharge the sandwich.
