Such a great experience here! We got the beef bulgogi bento and one of their specials - both were so delicious! Great mix of flavour and variety of toppings. They were out of rolls when we went but will certainly be returning to try! The market component is a great addition, so many great products. Would highly recommend a visit!
Hanamaru Market is a Japanese and Korean grocery store who also serves food on the side. You can call by ordering ahead or by walking up and ordering while onsite. The Dynamite roll and the vegetarian Gyoza dumplings are delicious. I’m a repeat customer and definitely recommend this place.
Hanamaru is a fantastic restaurant that is becoming one of my favourite places to get food in the city! The bento boxes are delicious and come with a variety of options that should satisfy any craving! The food is always well packaged and ready quickly when getting take out or delivery. Definitely recommend trying the food here!
Picked up a roll and Nori wrap for lunch. Both were reasonably priced, super tasty and very fresh. They have a great selection of dried noodles and other tasty treats. Can't wait to come back and try their bento boxes and sake don!
Very good. Tasty and appealing food. Pleasant service. Reasonable prices. Clean place. Ordered via the Ritual app, and also made purchases with the storefront. Review will deal with the takeout first. Food was tasty. We ordered the Grilled Unagi Bento, Chicken Karrage Bento, Miso Salmon Bento, Beef Bulgogi Bento, Sake Don, Torched Scallop Dragon Roll, Yam Avocado Roll, Unagi Avocado Roll, Tasty Maki Platter, and Shrimp Tempura. Each of the bentos had a different variety of sides. I loved the chicken karrage bento. The soy sauce packets were appropriate for the bentos. Shrimp tempura was fried lightly with a dusting of herbs/spices. I want to mention how appealing the bento packaging was. The bentos had transparent lids, and you could see how the sides and main were thoughtfully layered and packaged together. It made the anticipation for the food even more enjoyable. The lids could be easily placed back on the container without difficulty. The containers are made of some sort of paper product while still keeping the food warm. Very user friendly. Based on our order, it appears that we ordered nearly the entire menu's options. The menu isn't too big. I'm a little surprised that yam tempera isn't an option since it's incorporated into some of sushi rolls options. One very mild criticism. The tempura came with a small container of soy sauce. The maki and special rolls did not. Would have appreciated a small container of soy sauce, since people are likely to dip their sushi into soy. Not sure if they forgot, or didn't give us enough soy sauce packets because we used the packets for the bentos. Fortunately, we have all sorts of soy sauce at home, so it wasn't a big deal. Since I arrived early, I also picked up some snacks. It's a small little shop at the front with a kitchen at the back. Despite the small space, it was tightly packed in a well-organized and very clean way. Like its takeout menu, it had just enough variety of goods in the storefront without being overwhelming. They had imported chips, almonds, nuts, cakes, teas, drinks from Korea East Asia. I saw sauces wasabi mayo, sesame mayo, miso, soy, frozen foods gyoza, onion pancakes, etc mochi, ice cream red bean, black sesame, green tea, mango, and some knick-knacks. Probably other things that I can't remember right now. The service was friendly and polite. The atmosphere was pleasant and welcoming in the short time I was there. Also, while I was there, I noticed a sign for a cash discount for orders over $25. Would return and recommend.
We were so happy to have found Hanamara Market. The food is made with fresh, honest ingredients. You can tell that such respect and attention to detail were part of making each and every single item that comes out of their kitchen. And the taste just explodes in the mouth! Last but not least, the people are friendly and the store front is clean, pleasantly stocked with yummy Japanese snacks and bring home ingredients. We are so lucky to have them in the neighbourhood.

What a local gem! It is the cutest little market of all things Japanese, and also does amazing takeout! Their Bentos, rolls and more are just perfect. Love this place, and its owners!
Clean and fun Korean/Japanese specialty c-store with full kitchen. Quaint presentation and delicious tasting fish on my order of salmon/avocado roll. Looking forward to trying more!!Food: 5/5
This place is an absolute gem! We've been ordering their bento boxes and sushi platters for a while now and they are always so delicious. Fresh ingredients, clean presentation, and all super tasty. All of their bento boxes are good, but my personal favourites are the chicken and salmon. I highly recommend this place to all my friends and to you, if you're reading this review :
