As someone who used to work a block from Boston Chinatown, I was sad when I moved up here, thinking I would never find good Chinese in this area. I was so wrong! This place is phenomenal and holds its own with Boston! We particularly loved the Stir-Fried Chicken with 3 Spicy Pepper just the right level of salty and mala and the Fish Fillet in Szechuan Chili Sauce. Everything we tried was good though! Thank you so much for bringing real Chinese food to the Upper Valley!!
We were drawn in by the comments about the soup dumplings and we were not disappointed by the taste and quality. We would recommend them to everyone. The restaurant is in a nice location and the dining room was above normal for similar restaurants. Most notable however was the service. My water never got more than 1/2 down and the food came out quickly.
I'm graduating and leaving Hanover soon. I guess I will regret it if I don't leave a few good words here about this restaurant. I've been to a dozen Chinese restaurants in the US, and I find it a surprise that Hanover, albeit a small town, has such a good Chinese restaurant. Most dishes are authentic, and some are just fantastic fish fillets in hot sauce and home-style tofu are some of my favorites. The staff are friendly and food come fast. Big plus for me. But there's still room for improvement. Cold-noodles is the most disappointing one. I tried it once and it wasn't even fresh! Possibly because people don't order it often? Also Spicy Chicken, a cold dish, wasn't up to par when I had it.
This food is dangerous. Dangerously delicious. I couldn’t stop eating it. I have now eaten most of three entrées and my belly hurts and I am sleepy. The general Tso tofu was very well flavored with a bit of bite. The lo mein was also quite good. The Moo shu vegetables were well seasoned especially with the plum sauce however unfortunately they forgot to give us the pancakes to go with it.
I love Han. It is incredibly delicious, reasonably priced, and the staff are super friendly. My first recommendation in Hanover. Also is a fun place for drinks too, scorpion bowl and full bar are all really nice. Hanover wouldn't be the same without it.
RACIST RESTAURANT DO NOT EAT HERE. We went out for a family lunch and ordered our food. We received our starters and waited. And waited. Other non white customers, who ordered after us, were served their food, paid and left. Still waiting. Then the waitress comes over and says the kitchen staff are all eating and can we wait another ten minutes!!!!??????? NO WE CAN’T. We waited over an HOUR. They comped nothing. No way would the staff be done eating in ten minutes. They could have easily cooked our food in the time we waited. I pointed out that others were served that ordered after us - “oh he’s an old family friend”. Furious - we are all paying customers. Ridiculous, terrible service.
The best Chinese food in a 1,000 mile radius. We are new to the area and our family will no doubt be regulars here. The service and food were incredible.
A newly opened authentic Chinese food restaurant in this little college town. We ordered my favorite thin sliced beef in Szechuan chili sauce as well as the lunch special Malaspicy chicken . They were delicious. I don’t have to drive all the way down to Boston for some good Chinese foods any more.
The worst Kung pao chicken!!! Don’t ever order it. The amount of peanuts I had in the dish will make one allergic to peanutseven if you don’t have one. Bland food no taste, The quality has gone downhill. Avoid this place.
Excellent! Very much like the established but unpretentious Chinese places you may luck into finding in NY or San Fran. Highly recommend. Outstanding service as well. Will be back often.
