Pretty good food for a reasonable price. The portions are huge and the food is fresh. The food is much more enhanced with their hot sauce, so make sure to grab that when you visit this place. I highly recommend their goat shoulder but their fried chicken drumsticks were also flavourful. Their mango juice is a must have to every meal. I will definitely return here.
I'm glad they opened up a much needed location in mississauga. The food was great as always, the beef samosa is very tasty and the mango juice is just out of this world. The service is good but the food can come a little faster. Took over 30 minutes for the food to arrive at our table. Clean restaurant and best to order first and then sit on a table with the number. I still prefer going to the rexdale location to eat, but the mississauga location is much cleaner and brighter. Very nice place to bring the family over.
Comforting and delicious Somalian food at Hamdi’s! I have visited their location in Rexdale many years ago and was excited to see one open up here in Mississauga. We had the platter for two, which can probably be for three because of the large portion sizes!! We chose the goat and beef as our meats on this platter. The platter came with two drinks as well and we chose the mango juice of course, which was refreshing. Prices were pleasantly reasonable for the meat you get. Service was good as well, took about 20 minutes on a Saturday evening. Lots of space for groups as well. The staff were kind and helpful.
Just AWESOME ! It was our first time trying Somalian food and we LOVED it. If Somalian mothers cook this kinda food for their family then those kids are so lucky . We wanted to go for goat shoulder but it was sold out . The guy taking our order recommend roasted goat instead and said it’s next best option. We went for platter for two. Roasted goat , golden fried drumsticks , half rice and half spaghetti with salad and two mango drinks . All of this just for $35 and no compromise on taste. That food is so tasty I kid you not. It was different tasting with goat being so tender with no smell, drumsticks were flavourful, spaghettis were tasty even on its own and rice soaked up all the good flavours with veggies. In the end our tummies were full and happy but felt light. Last but not least must try beef sambusa with hot sauce.
Really delicious somali food for the best price that you can possibly get anywhere!! Best bang for your buck, highly recommend trying to anyone! Lots of options also. Ordered their lamb and beef and loved it!!Food: 5/5
Ordered platters that included Roasted Goat, Fried Chicken and Atlantic Salmon. Good portion sizes and the food was tasty. Plenty of seating options inside.Food: 4/5
We had couple of platters with roast goat, goat shoulder, beef steak, beef stew, chicken and salmon. It comes with rice which is pretty good. Goat shoulder and beef stew are the best. The one to avoid is beef steak, it was very thin and overcooked. Food 4/5 Service 4/5 Ambiance 4/5 Overall 4/5
Mango juice is amazing and so is the chapati. However service isn’t good, the waiter couldn’t figure out our order. Additionally, plating is not thought out. We were served all of our food on one plate even though they were separate orders. Very hard to separate the food for people with dietary restrictions and nearly impossible for take out
Really good portions, goat and steak were well seasoned, mandazzi and shorba were really good too. Excellent service and cleanliness. Highly recommendFood: 5/5
Delicious food at Hamdi. We bought the 4 person platter easily serves 5 people with roasted lamb, beef steak and goat shoulder. The meat was tender and tasted delicious. They have reasonably priced menu. Definitely recommended !!Food: 5/5
