Halton Regional Police Service

I'm staying at the Homewood Suites on Winston Churchill in Oakville. I'm from the US here often on business. I called the Halton Police tonight because of nuisance noise coming from a car show in an adjacent parking lot next to the hotel. The dispatcher said she would have someone come out to take a look. No one came out and the noise is full volume at 9:35 pm. My earlier experience with the Halton Police is when they parked on private property during road construction. Instead of blocking a traffic lane during the construction, they sat in their cars, yes two cars on private property, and pulled people over for "driving on a closed road". Many people, including myself were issued tickets. Money grabbers. Yeah, the department can say their officers were dispatched to critical issues tonight, including potential income for the department. I have no respect for the Halton Police for their abuse of power.
