Story

The Halton Catholic District School Board is a model learning community, widely recognized as distinctively Catholic, that provides exceptional educational experiences and services to over 29,000 students of all ages. God’s call to love and to serve is nurtured in staff and students in 43 elementary schools, 9 secondary schools, and 3 continuing education facilities, serving the communities of Burlington, Halton Hills, Milton, and Oakville. As a provincial leader in student achievement in literacy and numeracy, as well as Special Education, the Board is an exciting and dynamic place to learn, work, and grow.

Good luck if your child is ever bullied in the Catholic system. NO support for the child. They would rather sweep things under the rug rather than tarnish their "good Christian" reputation. Blame the victim, isolate them rather than protect them. Shameful, shameful behaviour, confirmed by several counsellors who work with students in this system.

Catholic doctrine is the root of so many of the world's problems. This system of indoctrinating children into the machinery of religion before they are able to make up their own minds borders on child abuse. Do not support the religious hierarchy!

Hated the rules they eliminated all the sports but I was bullied and the people that are getting bullied shouldn't be such babies and actually stand up for themselves learn how to hit

Trustees Quinn and Karabela visit Germany and Poland on tax payer dime, approved by HCDSB. Is this appropriate use of school dollars ?

Not happy. I think it's terrible that a Christian family cannot register their children 5 and 7 year old girls unless you only have ONE type of Baptism Certificate. Must be Eastern Roman Catholic. Meanwhile, my 7 year old at a different school board has gone to a Catholic school... Now she can't? This is not the Christian way, in fact it's disgusting that we would be treated this way.
