Hakka No.1

The food tastes good and they give big portions which is great. However, recently I ordered Vegetable Hakka noodles, but all of the Bok Choy wasn't washed properly. I noticed one of them had dirt at the bottom of the stem, and when I opened it up, it had a dead bug inside. I understand mistakes happen but please make sure to wash all veggies properly; not just a quick rinse. it's very off-putting to see this in your food.

So couple of weeks ago I was searching for a good hakka Chinese in the neighborhood as I’m not from Brampton and found this place and with the reviews and rating I thought to give it a shot and since I wasn’t really hungry I just ordered one dish from their individual combo which was chilli fish on fried rice and veg spring roll. It was Saturday night and to my surprise the place was way too quite and wasn’t busy apparently it took them around 15 mins to prepare the food. When the food was served oh My God! The goodness of their freshly fried fish in the sauce with hot pipping egg fried rice were far behind my expectations! Every single bite I took made me fall in love with it. I’ve had hakka from so many places around the GTA and what not but this one earned the credit. However their spring roll was ok-ish but I loved their chilli fish and fried rice. I would recommend them to work on their food presentation as it’s another important thing for foodie or even for non foodie to be served good presentable food. 4 stars for food as they need to work on their presentation.

Pretty nice food, reasonable price,portions can be overwhelming. If you have a family of four good eaters I suggest you order for two people dinner style. For a family of six order for three people dinner style. You surely will still have some to take home for next day lunch.

Today I ordered 4 items including mango salad, spicy garlic beef, mango tango T/prawns, bombay chicken. The lady was very rude! I have never seen such a badmouth lady in my life! For the shrimp when I asked if it is fried or not she said I don’t know! I asked is it spicy? She said you can pay extra to make it spicy. After that they gave fully sweet bland uncleaned shrimp. When I called the restaurant about the food the lady literally started shouting without saying a single sorry. Very bad service very bad customer service. Never going back there!

Very good Halal food! Got it delivered quick and was still hot. Confirmed with the store that they serve hand slaughtered meat from Al-Mahdi Halal meat. Al-Mahdi confirmed meat from Sargent Farms, which is HMA approved hand slaughtered. Loved the service!

I use to eat Hakka food 20 years ago, not so much now as it takes time to digest lol. Eating their lunch special for $8.95 Bombay Chicken + $1.50 for upgrade to egg fried rice, came out $12 and change. Big portions will definitely leave you full all day and yawning.. Not the healthiest, but tasty. Will go back in 6 months. $13.00 Egg Fried Rice, Choice of Meat, spring roll & pop. Not bad.

Great food. I have tried their food few times. Every time food was great in taste; specially Chili Chicken dry!

If you love Chinese food then this place might not be for you. It is decent dine out place, lot's of variation in noodles Manchurian and appetizer. Service is quick Food prices are affordable. Though the flavors are not very very good, its like regular stuff still food can be enjoyed. Best thing is the portion they serve per meal, it is always more than my need. So I end up packing leftover, thats why most of times i prefer take out.

This place used to be good. Price is moderate portions are good but each type of food almost has a similar taste. It's as if they use the same ingredients or frying wok. Takeout portions are smaller than dine in. Beware if you do dine in, there is a 10% service charge added into your bill. I usually go here with friends but I went alone after work and I was surprised I was charged for the service charge. What's worse of all is that they charge that 10% fee after taxes!!?? Service fees are not charged after taxes and should not be charged for an individual person. I was shocked. I will no longer be going to this place due to this. I will tip what I want depending on food quality and service at the visit.

Purchased spicy chicken Hakka noodles. My biggest issue with restaurants is when they charge a "premium" for a dish with meat, however almost the whole dish is noodles. This is what I went through at this place. I may try again and buy just meat, however if you are buying a noddle dish, expect above 90% of the dish being noodles. Good luck
