My daughter and I spent the weekend here and had a great trip. The location was perfect - walking distance to the winter festival, and a slightly longer walk to other places we wished to go. Parking was around the corner for $12 a night. The room price was much better than others in the area. The hotel staff were helpful and friendly. We did not have someone come and clean the room and change the towels, but we may have missed something there, like a need to put a tag on the door or something. Either way, we were fine. Plus we're enviro-friendly. The room itself was comfortable, and well-decorated. Honestly, the only issue was that there were little things that needed fixing - a window with a small crack, the gel and shampoo and conditioner dispensers over the bathtub were broken and while bottles were provided as replacements, there wasn't a bottle of conditioner, a light switch that was broken and wouldn't turn off and required a strip of duct tape to keep it off. Also, warning: the hot water comes out HOT - keep an eye on your bath or it will be scalding. All the same, I'd stay there again. Highly recommended.
Very friendly and helpful staff. The rooms need some updating for comfort. I wish they had new pillows and mattresses. They were thin hard and uncomfortable. That said the neighborhood is great and you're close to a lot.
Great little hotel with over the top customer service!! Rooms are a little small but the building and rooms are super clean. Metro is right across the street, corner store is half block up and lots of close dining near by. Public parking is 1 block away and $12 a day.Rooms: 4/5
We were treated very well at Le Pomerol, special shout out to Nadia and Larry who were extremely helpful since we were not familiar with this area, they really went above and beyond in their service, I highly recommend this hotel
So impressed! the website i booked with made an error saying the room came with a spa bath when only some of the rooms did so when i arrived i expected a spa bath but they did not have that room available. The lady working at the front desk managed to upgrade me to a better room so that i could have a jacuzzi tub even though it was the websites error. it was the nicest thing that she did not have to do and it really made my trip special. the room was spotless and smelled lovely. it was a great atmosphere and the location was perfect for us to walk around and access the public transit. also referred us to the best breakfast place ever.
A wonderful room, excellent service, and incredibly comfortable bed. The only flaw was the lack of hot water for the jacuzzi, but the staff addressed the problem as quickly as they could and reimbursed us when they couldn't fix it promptly. Would recommend.Rooms: 5/5
Beware the basement. My "superior" room is a basement room. the whole first floor is actually a basement My room is dark and smells like there's mould. My room is directly under the laundry room. Loud Machine noises and stomping sounds past midnight. The staff is really nice but the hotel itself is more like a way overpriced student hostel. I'd avoid this one folks.
The building is quite old and worn and the lobby has a strange layout, but once I got past that everything was good. The room was small but very clean and the shower water pressure was good. The service was great. I would probably stay here again.
Rooms were neat.Bathrooms well stocked with towels and soap. Staff was nice and accommodating. The staff gave us tips on where to explore as we were tourist. The water in our room ran cold and we were moved to an upgraded room. Staff also provided a spot to briefly store our luggage while we waited for a ride upon checkoutRooms: 5/5
Don't be fooled by the look of the neighborhood, this little hotel is very well maintained and offer a great stay close to the bus station and Montreal downtown. Room was perfectly clean, bed and wifi just fine. No more breakfast unfortunately. Pricing is correct, overall a very good experience.
