I decided on this hotel but was a little bit concerned because of the mixed reviews. I am surprised that some guests had a negative experience because mine was very positive. I initially had a small room but that was not unexpected based on the description ,as it had everything and was clean. When getting some service to my television the concierge suggested that he can upgrade me to a larger room to be much more comfortable, without an additional charge. I was very grateful and definitely much happier once I moved into the new room. This consideration was also made because I was staying for an entire week. The service was always great and my privacy was respected when I didn’t require any housekeeping. As I was facing the main road, it was a little bit noisy at times but as I live in downtown Toronto, I was used to this situation. Bring earplugs if noise bothers you. As a continental breakfast was included ,it was what you would expect being of good quality and satisfying. I like the area which was close to a park, a pedestrian only area, as well as , to a number of really good restaurants. The Metro station was a few minutes away which would connect me to other parts of Montreal with ease. In conclusion, I would highly recommend this hotel and I definitely will be back in the future.
Staffs were so kind and friendlyespecially the young staffs! Pretty good location! And a reasonable price! To be honest, it is hard to say the quality of the room and the cleaning service are the best of the best I ever stayed; there were lots of toilet papers inside of the toiletliterally in the toilet, not in the washroom when I checked in, and the microwave wasn't working cause it was plugged into unusable power spot. But after all these things, I'm still willing to stay here again!
Very well appointed rooms. Extremely clean. Very comfortable. Bed very comfortable. Breakfast was impressive. Fresh fruit, fresh baked goods, yogurts, juices, etc. You won't find better value-for-dollar in Montreal. Reception people were efficient, friendly, and very professional. A great experience. Will return.
I had booked the hotel 2 weeks prior to the stay. I received an email the day preceding our stay, to inform me there was a problem with the credit card and that I needed to call before the next day 15h to give a new card. I called immediately upon reception of said email. I provide a new credit card, the employee on the phone assures me everything is fine. We get to the hotal the day and the receptionnsit informs us that the room was cancelled because of payment, the proceed to fault me for not calling... which I did way before deadline... At that time, he was also on the phone with another client to cancel their reservation saying it was not their fault and the system had double booked. We were not offered anything and left without a room. They are disrespectful and entitled. NOT RECOMMENDED
The Auberge is okay, the room are really well furnished. The bed and mattress, pillow, duvet are really nice The Auberge's location is really perfect ! Close to the subway, there's bus stops everywhere at 2min walks, and there's also a Communauto 5min away. I think it's a super place to stay during Spring to Fall, I wouldn't recommend during winter! The staffs is super nice and helpful !! Also the WiFi is quite good There's a few things that are not okay though: - some days you can find hairs on the sheets, towels... - the power plugs are not working or are in inaccessible places. - the walls are quite thin, if you have the chance to have quiet neighbors it's okay, otherwise it's a nightmare - The kitchen isn't furnished with anything to cook
Lovely place to stay with helpful, professional, and friendly staff. Breakfast: I do not understand negative comment about breakfast. It always had a lot of options: cereals, two-three kind of fruits, cheese, croissants, pastry, boiled eggs, oatmeal, butter, philadelphia, jam, two kind of juice, coffe, tea, bagels, bread for toasts. Once there also were smoked salmon, pickles and something else I don't know what that was additionally to what I described above. There are a huge amount of restaurants in walking distance. Close to subway station and other public transportation. Our room was pretty large for 5 people. The hotel has a bar. I reccomend this hotel to stay. The only concern is that hotel's parking lot is small.
Seriously nothing beats this location. The metro is crossing the street, the hotel is close to restaurants and a quick walk to Old Montreal, the rooms are clean and spacious. The breakfast is amazing croissants, pain au chocolat, hard boiled eggs, cream cheese, bagels, marbled cheese, fruit, cereal, coffee, orange juice, tea, all buffet style. There were two things that can improve and it wasn't really a big deal; the bed was right at the entrance door of the room and the mattress was too soft Hurting your back soft. The second thing was that there was no smart tv, but you still have cable and wifi. Still, I would 100% recommend the hotel. Our room was ready early when we arrived and they allowed us to leave our baggage at the luggage room since our train was leaving late.
Nice little hotel located close to everything. Our stay was made that much better by MAJID the hotel manager, who was very pleasant, helpful and accommodating.Rooms: 5/5
Really horrible. Super rude on the phone. Tried to charge me extra AFTER I had signed the receipt/form to pay for the whole of two nights on the second night they told me I need to give them extra money. My sister and I left a day early because of this. Raised their voice at me in the lobby. Too expensive for what it was anyway, but the customer service was horrific.
Very nice hotel, quite, clean and mod importantly very convenient location. We absolutely loved the croissants in the mornings.
