H Mart Richmond

I used to shop at H Mart but not anymore. I was in the market for a new rice cooker and decided to check them out. They had displays for 10-12 different models out in the open. I tried to open one of them but couldn't figure out how it worked. The Korean lady working at the cosmetics counter was watching me this entire time. She came over so I thought she was coming to help. She refused to help me and started to harass me instead, demanding that I pay for the rice cooker because I apparently "broke" it.

Rude lady guarding the rice cookers needs to relax. Saw her physically stopping kids from opening the lids. If they don't want kids touching them don't put them there. Also saw a man from the seafood section yell at a customer once... Overall not impressed with the products, prices, or staff. I will be going to Hannam instead from now on.

Produce is terrible. They are either a day away from going bad or already bad in store. I bought a package of salmon belly that had a rotting spot that was creatively covered by the label. Also the restaurant inside the mart serves instant versions of food. I ordered a bone broth soup just to get the instant noodle version of it for almost $10. I will not hesitate to go out of my way to go to the Lougheed location over this one.

Korean grocer located in Aberdeen Centre. Has bakery and small canteen. Carries small appliances, including rice cookers, juicers, cooktops. Mall parking. Located near Canada Line Aberdeen Station.

A decent Korean Grocery store. The majority of the store is grocery but a good portion is small appliance, makeup, a small cafe with several tables and a food stall. The korean grocery has a good but not great selection of produce and fruit and a much stronger selection of meat, and dry goods. Parking is available from the mall (free) or from the street (paid). The mall at Aberdeen is also a Canada Line stop and there are two buses that stop nearby as well.
