Good food, I like the Freshness and the experience that I can grill my meat and eat at the same time. It's a good quality system, the restaurant is not filled with smell. And my clothes didn't smell like food after. That's great : Only minus points are the price is a bit higher than average and the waiter though he was nice and polite, seemed inexperienced and forgot to bring us the sauces till our 2nd round of meat when we asked for. Our first round should have been better. But we enjoyed our food and would love to come back another time :
Very yummy experience. First time at a Japanese BBQ restaurant and I greatly enjoyed it. The customer service was topnotch as our grill was replaced at every cook round. The only downside is that we had to wait for a while to get seated. Overall, a place to be recommended......
Was so delicious! We ordered 5 different types of meat and each one was perfectly seasoned and all had great flavor. Their garlic rice was also super tasty. The staff were very friendly and always checked in on us. We will for sure be back!! Yum 10/10 we also found free parking very easily on a Saturday night.
Its right on Main Jasper Ave a nice set up I preferred a Dine in which I did although online orders for take out also an option. My food taste good so do the Sopporo beer as well. This kind of entry in Downtown I say price and service comes along just fine. Oh and proudly supporting the Oilers Hockey Team.
Had an excellent valentine's experience here. All the staff were super nice and friendly. Food was delicious . And the bathrooms were clean. Definitely take your time to enjoy the food, let it cook slowly and have an amazing time talking with those you came with. Fried chicken karaage was amazing, would definitely come back just for that if anything. Then savoir every bite, so delicious. Cooking the meat was very fun, yiu could have the steak medium rare if you wanted, you could switch it up that rarity you want because you're the chef!! I will admit that it felt a little bit expensive considering you do the cooking, but the taste I'd say is worth it the way the beef is marinated for so long the flavor is amazing . For desert we had the corn butter, very buttery and alot of corn, my girlfriend thought that it tasted like, well exacally what it was. I couldn't get the taste of apple crumble out of my mouth, it just tasted like apple crumble, I can only assume it's because my mind relates the cast iron pans to the Kegs apple crumble that comes in a very similar pan. But it did taste good nonetheless. I would switch out the spicy pork for the regular pork yet again because I'm white and can't handle the spice and probably would not have the chicken again. There's nothing wrong with the chicken, it just didn't seem to be marinated or sauced up with anything so it was the equvilant of just grilling a chicken breast at home. Other than that I very much enjoyed the heat from the grill and that atmosphere felt like you were in a bar in Japan very cool.
Food are super tasty.Ordered combo for 2 and upgraded on all the options..paid add'l $10-the sukiyaki beef bibimbp is a must try.It is served in a hot bowl and is mix in front of you! Parking: Go after 6pm for Dinner time so you can have free parking along the roads of downtown area.
We came here on a Wednesday evening with a reservation and a table of 10 people for my friend’s birthday. I think they were seriously understaffed tho, because the service was painfully slow. It took an hour and 45 minutes to get our food. And that was after we had to wave down the waiter to order. And everyone was served at different times. Some people had to wait an additional 45 minutes for their food while others had already finished eating. Most of the food was decent enough, however the Vegetable Bibimbap hardly contained any vegetables. The menu said it contains mushrooms, broccoli, asparagus, green and white onions, red bell peppers. See pic for reference of what we actually got. To top it all off, having to pay a mandatory 18% gratuity on such poor service and sub-par food, this meal was definitely not worth it.
I went looking for Ramen but they give me noodles I just figured it out when I get home. And I have to wait for someone at the entrance close to 5 minutes until a lady came out to get my order. She was nice.Food: 3/5
Gyu-Kaku was a delicious time! The service was timely and extremely compassionate. We ordered the Shogun and it was enough to feed 5 hungry people! Although my main concerns was the price of the overall menu was a little to high for me and the drinks were somewhat lacklustre. But all in all, still a good time to be-had at Gyu-Kaku!
I will definitely coming back for more korean food. We did try the all meat and it was tasty!Food: 4/5
