This is a great place to camp. There is a beautiful lake and lots of places to pitch your tents. There are bathrooms at multiple locations and the sites have fire pits and picnic tables. There is a cool little museum at the top that is ADA accessible. While interesting, some of the language and facts are dated to say the least. There are a couple of occurrences of the term "Red Man", referring to Native Americans. I am a history teacher and the idea that Natives were grateful for the coming of Europeans is a perversion of U.S. history.

The Eclipse experience was GREAT here! The park staff was very organized and had planned out the area very well! The park was very clean and the temp facilities the park for the eclipse were ample and tended. Such a great "unknown" gem!

Beautiful park around Guernsey Reservoir. Went there for the 2017 solar eclipse, just for the day, and everyone was so friendly and welcoming. Being a geologist I enjoyed all the outcrops. Bathrooms were nice and clean. We visited the CCC Museum, and it was impressive to see the hand hewn beams and the sturdiness of the structure. Thanks to all the staff and volunteers who welcomed all of us eclipse viewers.

Very beautiful scenery. I was just site seeing for the afternoon, but plenty of spots for camping, boating & hiking. The reservoir was full during my visit, but apparently it gets drained periodically. I enjoyed the structures built by the CCC during mid 1930's.

I love Guernsey and the beautiful scenery. My family spends a lot of time and money there. We camped for several days during labor day weekend and for the most part enjoyed our time there. On the last night, a park ranger stopped by saying that there was a complaint about a running generator, and we didn't even own one. We had music playing that you couldn't here more than ten feet from our camper (we could barely here it sitting right next to it) and he told us that no electronic devices were allowed after ten, and made us shut it off (he refused to leave until it was off). Needless to say I was extremely unhappy. I later read the rules and regulations, and they clearly state that unless the noise is disruptive(there were no complaints), it is okay. I am extremely annoyed that this person chose to abuse his power and go agianst state park regulations and disrupt our last night. Because of this one individual, I would recommend people go camp anywhere but here, unless you want to be needlessly harassed.
