My experience with the overnight emergency clinic was fantastic! I am forever grateful for their 24 hour availability as it saved my cat from unnecessary suffering in his final hours. The waiting room and private treatment rooms were clean and welcoming. The staff were very professional and kept me informed of my pet's status. The veterinarian was very experienced and could make a confident diagnosis relatively quickly. Treatment options were delivered in a clear and concise way. I don't feel that any unnecessary treatments were done, nor did I feel pressured about anything, and I found their pricing to be incredibly reasonable especially for a 4:30am emergency visit in the middle of the Winter!. They also have many unique options for remembering your pet after they cross the rainbow bridge. A very big thank you to Dr Clancy, Tasha, and the other team members on board that night! In the past 3 years we have visited this hospital a few times for urgent care with our pets. This is by far the best veterinarian care I have ever experienced. They are transparent about options/payment and they are so compassionate. even though at times we had to wait because of long triage lines, the care we got was never rushed and always explained very thoroughly. One time, a doctor even brought in their own cat to donate blood to my cat when he needed a transfusion. When my cat was cleared to come home, a group of people handed him off to me and told me how much they loved him and they were gonna miss him. During visits when there were restrictions and we couldn't go in with our beloved pets, they called us and updated us as much as possible. Love this place, and can't thank them enough for everything they have done for our animals. My partner and I always recommend you!
I brought my cat Marley in to the ER in July. We thought it was just something he ate, but unfortunately we found out very quickly that it was something very grave and would not have been a good life for Marley if we decided to continue care and tests. My poor boy was in a lot of pain. The vets and support staff tried their best to make him comfortable but unfortunately he was showing that he had made the decision to go. I want to thank the doctors and all the staff for their incredible work and caring support through this ordeal. You guys are honestly the most hard working and dedicated people. You kept me updated, gave me honest answers while being especially compassionate and caring. I can’t thank you enough. The work you do is hard and stressful, but for those on the other side I appreciate you and see what an amazing team you are. Thank you again for taking such good care of Marley. It really made this process easier for me.
I said goodbye to my best friend of 16 years here: I had him when I was 14 I will soon be 30. My boy hershey, hated vets. I didn’t want him to have a hard passing as he was struggling and was in pain. One lady told me to unwrap him and put him on the scale for his weight, as we told her we were here for quality of life and I asked “with the blankets because he was wrapped like a baby” And she said “can he stand?” I said no hes too weak. She said just hold him, they didn’t poke and Prod him they didn’t make me unswaddle him they they got us to a private room almost instantly…which was far from the clinical unpersonal setting I had with my other dog. They had a doorbell to press when we were ready to say goodbye… there was zero rush they made sure to Reiterate and reassure there was no rush ….when we finally mustered up the courage a vet came in explained euthanasia soberly and put him to sleep in my arms swaddled like a baby… let me take my mask off to kiss him. The vet choked back tears and said take as much time as you need you are in no rush, press the doorbell when you’re ready for us to take him. They have cremation service and paw print on site… With out the people who helped us yesterday I wouldn’t of had the strength, Im not just saying this. This was my best friend and they took the utmost care…he wasn’t scared as he usually was of the vets, he went so peacefully and was finally out of pain. My heart hurts like I never knew hearts could hurt like a physical punch to the chest and I really couldn’t of imagined this experience with any other clinic. Thankyou to everyone who was there for us. Thankyou to the staff working yesterday you are wonderful human beings. You helped my heart.
My pup recently suffered a case of HGE and it was terrifying - on a Friday afternoon of course. Our vet told us to take her to Guardian VCA. They were so good! They called me with everything they knew and each time gave me options for care, explained next steps and the need for them and tried to help me make wise choices as the bill obviously adds up quickly. It's a given that the care is costly but they do keep that in mind and walk you through it. They got her hydrated and on the road to recovery with the right meds and excellent care. They were patient with me when I called and the vet tech even sent me a pic of her below. She was a very sick pooch but they recognized that she would get better faster at home and they were right. She is now almost fully recovered and I am so thankful they were able to straighten her system out. Thankful for their care!
I am grateful for the Guardian Vet team taking in my cat Umbra, they are extremely kind, honest, and do everything possible to educate and help you. I took my cat Umbra during the early morning 2:30AM for a urinary obstruction. I felt really helpless but they helped me gain perspective and were with me every step of the way for his healing process. After many weeks of highs and lows, the Vet team were really great at guiding me and it gave me lots of hope and strength. I'm happy to report that my little Umbra is doing great now and I really couldn't do it without all the Vet Tech's and Doctors for helping me get Umbra on the right path. I want to thank Dr. Pepper who helped me gain insight for the best treatment plan for Umbra, all the Vet Tech's that took my phone calls to ensure his best care, and Amanda at front desk who went above and beyond to talk me through really hard times and remind me to take care of myself. You guys are an absolute gem and I would recommend anyone to come to this clinic.
My older cat became very ill and I brought her here on Canada day when every other place in the city was closed. My cat, Sophia had to be put down, it was an extremely traumatic experience. I dealt with 3 staff, a blonde lady with a ponytail who initially examined our cat, a lady with dark hair and awesome tattoos who was working at reception, and a lady with curly hair who I believe was named Jenny who helped us in Sophia's final moments. All of you were so incredibly sweet and genuine, you truly helped me with my pain and the energy you put into helping us is something I'll never forget. Thank you for your kind words, you were all so amazing. Following the appointment they sent an extremely sweet letter in the mail to comfort us, as well as having a grief councillor reach out. Thank you so much for caring, this entire thing has meant so much to me and you helped turn a truly horrible thing into something peaceful and supportive. The most amazing veterinary with the most incredible staff. Thanks again.
Our beloved dog Daisy was dying, we were devastated. The dr, nurses, staff were so wonderful. They were caring and so very knowledgeable. I can't even put it in words how grateful I am for the care and love they showed us and especially my little shadow. I would highly recommend this place to anyone with a pet of any kind. Their 24 hour emergency veterinary clinic is a Godsend. Thank you so very much.
I want to thank the staff at VCA for taking the time to look at my little man Oscar. They were compassionate, friendly, professional, and honest. Even though the outcome was not what I was hoping. The care we received for our dog by them was superb. Because of you all, we were able to say our goodbyes to our family dog one last time, in a environment of peace and comfort.Thank you again.
My mini dachshund Cooper has had some unusual nasal issues that have been going on for three months and have been tough to resolve. I have been to Guardian at least six times as they try to figure out what is going on. I have been nothing but impressed with the service provided by all the staff I have dealt with and Dr. Flint. Whether I call for some information or email my concerns are always quickly addressed. Thank you for your great service.
