This was our first time here. We really enjoyed our visit. The staff checked on us throughout our time there. The atmosphere was very nice. It wasn't too really loud or too bright or dark. They also have a couple of tvs up on the walls if you want to watch some sports. The food was delicious. I substituted sourdough bread on my cheeseburger, and it didn't cost extra, awesome! My wife ordered the Turkey Club sandwich and said it was amazing! And the French fries were cooked just right. Grit 2C is somewhere I really recommend you try. We definitely will be going back. Kid-friendliness: No kid section on menu. Parking: It's a little hard to find a parking spot at times. You may have to walk a little bit. Wheelchair accessibility: There's a small bump in the doorway.
Food and service were fabulous! I've been wanting to go here for some time because it always looks busy, and the Google Maps algorithm kept suggesting it. I was not disappointed! I get Cuban Sandwiches anytime I see them on a menu. The flavors were a great mix of all the right notes including the jalapeño cheez whiz!, and the textures were spot on. I only wish we had a table further away from the front door as it was a cool and windy day. We got a blast of it every time someone entered or exited. We could have asked for another table, but they were very busy. Looking forward to going again!
I definitely recommend the fish and chips. Consistency in this town is hard to come by lately but these guys have it! Its nice to know that if I get the fish and chips next time they'll be the same as they were the last time. Fairly priced and clean. They get busy so if you plan on dining with more than a few people double check availability, otherwise the bar has great seating.
The food was amazing and so was the service. Can't wait to move here to try all the things on the menu. If your ever in Caldwell Idaho make sure you stop in and give it a try. Just moved to Idaho and went back and had amazing food thank Shawna was amazing and the service was incredible, please help ask for Jordan. Thank you both for an amazing experience. This is definitely are go to for great food and amazing service.
Good food...the crispy cauliflower and squash appetizer is a must forgot to take a picture of that. The fish and chips I got could be improved. The service is great..our lady server was very pleasant. The place is fun but a bit loud for me. Will definitely come back and bring friends from 1A . Will there be a Grit1A? Food: 4/5
The food was excellent. Service was great. We had shrimp and grits and fish and chips. Yummy. The restaurant isn't very big and incredibly loud. We were there during lunch hours. The food seems classier than the somewhat "cafeteria" style seating. We are not a fan of high ceilings in restaurants - they tend to be even louder than most restaurants. And kind of a bummer there were no booths. Next time we'd get take out, because the food is awesome!
Literaly one of the best resturants we have been to in sometime. Every staff was friendly and made the dinner enjoyable.... we let them decide our dessert for us... and it was the perfect seal on the meal... if you are looking for a great date night, do consider!
The margaritas were tasty but not anything special and definitely small. Food was good. My sandwich bread was falling apart in my hands which made it hard to enjoy. Had plenty of turkey. Wasn't offered a kids menu so pretty expensive for a 10yr old. My daughter brought in her hot chocolate and they made us throw it away which was disappointing. My friend really enjoyed her ribeye. Prices were fair for the high cost of eating out these days. Probably more on the higher side.
Grit 2C is an great place to eat. The food is delicious and the beer is very good. I had the 90 Shillings which is what they use for the batter in the beer battered fish. I also had the beer battered fish. The portions were very generous. The fish was excellent although the battered was only crisp at the ends. It was good I am just saying. They only provided a small cup of tarter sauce so if you like tarter sauce ask for extra. The restrooms were clean and the staff was very nice. Our server Meagan was really good. The food was served promptly and was hot. She kept the our water glasses full. It was not crowded when we arrived at 4:30 on a Saturday but before we left it was full. There are no handicapped parking spaces by the enterance of the restaurant and the doors are not automatic but once inside there is plenty of open space to move around. If you are in downtown Caldwell check it out.
The waiter was great—super friendly, quick and understanding! Would give him a 10/10. However, our "medium" burger was rare and we had to send it back. Otherwise, the food was decent. The fries were great but the sandwiches weren't anything special compared to other places. We'd go back, but didn't feel it was worth more than a medium 3 stars!
